Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7: Madhuri Dixit Nene and Karan Johar's dancing reality show to make an early exit!

It is a well-known fact that this season of celebrity danced reality show on Colors is not faring well on TRP charts

Madhuri Dixit Nene, Karan Johar and Remo D'Souza's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 has not struck the right notes. First Drashti Dhami's hosting stint came under the scanner. She was subsequently replaced by Manish Paul, but the damage was already done. Especially the reaction online was quite scathing with most people talking about how bad Dhrasti's hosting was as opposed to how good or bad the contestants were.

If Colors thought that the return of one of last season's successful anchors (Manish) would help, it did not for the show was not good enough given its format and cost. In this situation buzz suggests that Colors may wrap up JDJ 7 show sooner than expected. In a normal situation when a show does well, the makers increase the number of episodes using different techniques.

However producer Myleeta Aga Williams of BBC Worldwide denies any such step,"We will run the normal course of 13-15 episodes, last time was fourteen." She did not seem perturbed by the lower ratings of Jhalak instead explained, "Such shows take time to build audience traction. Fans gradually develop loyalty and affection with particular jodis. All that will happen soon and we are sure that the TRP's will rise."

She further explained, "Several other shows have launched along with us, so you will see drifting away of audiences, but we will bounce back."

Myleeta also does not hold Drashti for the show's initial failure. "Agreed there was lot of feedback on it. Each creative call has it's consequences , having said that Jhalak is not just about one anchor, there are several factors i.e. dance, chemistry among contestants which contribute to a show's success and we are doing well ."

Well, we hope for the sake of channel, star contestants and our famous celebrity judges that the show has a successful run...
