Is Katrina Sujoy's No.1 suspect?

The actress has been approached to lead the director's adaptation of a Japanese novel.
His pet project Durga Rani Singh is yet to find its leading lady. Meanwhile, Sujoy Ghosh has already started work on his next film, an adaptation of the Japanese thriller novel, The Devotion Of Suspect X, which Ekta Kapoor is producing.
Buzz is, the production house has approached Katrina Kaif to topline the cast. Revealed a source close to the development, "It's an edgy psychological thriller which centres on the cover-up of a murder. The victim's former wife and daughter get embroiled in the operation."
The source further added that the makers have already sent a copy of the bestseller, authored by Keigo Higashino, to Katrina.
"She's read it and thinks it's an incredibly exciting part - something she hasn't ever attempted. However, the script is still in the process of being developed, and the final outcome will be substantially Bollywoodised. The film will only roll early next year."
We sent a message to Katrina Kaif but she chose not to respond. Tanuj Garg, CEO of the film's production house, told Mirror, "We haven't cast anyone yet. The script is still being written."
