She would never take up this role after her acting debacle jthj. She excels in action oriented roles or the ones where she's required to look pretty.

The main role is the guy's here, not the girl's. The book is not female oriented. Unless Sujoy has turned this into a female oriented film...so those three deserve better. Durga Rani Singh would probably be better.

I read the synopsis somewhere and it seemed there are 4 important roles-woman, her child, a neighbour/friend and a policeman. I can see Katrina play a mother already.

I have red the book, but no way is Katrina suitable for that role.

And I don't hate for any reason. But that role is not for her.
