I love the song and keep listening to it all day! The lyrics are out of the world! My favourite!
My take on, "kabhi jo tha mera dil, Huya gairon me shamil rehta hai kahan" is that here he is precisely talking about his own heart which he has lost already!
The next line where the song goes "abhi se haal hai aisa na jane hoga kaisa jo yeh ho gaya" implies that if he is already unable to figure out where his heart lies when he has not consciously lost it, then what will happen when he seriously becomes conscious about his feelings/heart being in love!
These lines for me does not imply separation but to a phase Zain had before he realized he was in love with Aliya! He had always been attracted to her and unconsciously liked her! As he said the other day Aliya was his "soul mate" and he was always conscious about it somewhere deep down. Precisely that's why he had always been there to support her whenever she had needed him even when he thought he hated her!
I'll give you an example, remember the V-day party, a time when he couldn't even bear the sight of her. He was lost to see her walking up to him in the white saree! Not only that, when the wardrobe malfunction happened, well,we all saw what we saw! So his heart was lost way before he realized it was lost to Aliya & now we are in the phase where we can only think of the possibilities of "abhi se haal hai aisa, na jane hoga kaisa jo yeh ho gaya.. beintehaa" we can only imagine what he can do after he is in beintehaa love with her!
Lets say, the title song nowhere talks of separation for me! But yes there will be trying times as the lines "tera sukun ya junoon tera, teri khushi ya tera gham/ Jo bhi Jiya woh jiya maine, jo bhi kiya tujhse kiya.. beintehaa" That precisely means what we are about to see now, Whatever Aaliya experiences, Zain experiences too and whatever he feels, any and every emotion, be it love, hatred, happiness or sadness is for her and no other! So yes, Zain might end up being angry with Aliya but then all his emotions are attached to her, for her and no other! In fact, all his emotion IS Her!
It's like "I can be angry,I can be upset, I can be sad and I can be apart but I cannot stop loving you or living for you, with you!" for Zain & that precisely is the whole concept of the show! That's how they had always promoted it! Like Zain had once rightly said to Aliya, "Hum ek dusre se ladh sakte hain lekin ek dusre se bhag nahi sakte" they can't and won't and will never leave/ run away from each other! (That's what I feel and hoping that the makers won't disappoint us & maintain the essence of the show)
