Fans of Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se seek justice; saddened by show's abrupt ending

.

Justice for Do dil bandhe ek dori se - this is exactly what the loyal fans of the popular Zee TV show have been crying out for, ever since the news of their loved serial going off air made headlines.

The show produced by FilmFarm India had been generating decent TRPs, and till date is placed above many of the existing shows of the channel on TAM chart. However, the decision of ending the show in an abrupt manner has not gone down well with the loyal fans.

They have been voicing their opinions on various social networking sites, thereby seeking justice for the abrupt closure. The fans have also started trending on Twitter #DoNotEndDDBEDS, and the pages have gotten a huge response.

Here is the message put up on Twitter to make sure the voice is heard.

Justice for Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se

July 20 Edited

Attention Everyone .. We have planned a Twitter Trend for our show to make ourselves heard to the channel ..So tomorrow Monday(21st) all of us will be trending #DoNotEndDDBEDS @ZEE TV On twitter starting from 12pm IST noon till 12am IST midnight

Not only the fans, but even the actors associated with the show have been sad after knowing of this development. However, they are simply overwhelmed with the response of their fans.

Says Mansi, "I have been flooded with messages as the fans are so sad of the sudden ending of our show. It was unexpected and sudden for all of us; I am overwhelmed with this huge response and love from them. I would like to thank everyone for their immense love."

Arhaan Behll who essayed the role of Raghu in the show, expresses, "When we do a serial, we do not know what the destiny of it will be. Anything can happen, is the truth. Yes, it is true that we never expected Do Dil to go off air, that too when it was doing so well. However, this is a TV show and there is no room for emotions and sentiments. We should have a practical approach as nothing goes on forever. Whatever the reason is for the closure of the show, I have had my moments of playing the character of Raghu. I know that the fans want more and are pained by this sudden development. But rather than cribbing and fighting for it, I would want them to enjoy the happy moments they have had in the one year journey. Also, they can now positively look forward to their favourite actors getting back in new avatars. I believe that my fans have always walked with me and fought for me. They have been with me from the days of Pratigya, Fear Factor and now."

He continues: "I am proud to have my army along with me wherever I go (smiles). I am overwhelmed with the love and affection. I am trying my best to keep the atmosphere positive on the sets. Trust me, we are trying to keep the same masti mood on the sets so that we happily wind up shoot in the next 10 days. I have had a wonderful journey playing Raghu. And it is a good thing to know that your show is ending on a high TRP. I have been lucky enough as this has happened in both my shows, Pratigya and Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se. I will want my fans to enjoy the moments and bid adieu to Do Dil happily."

For the uninitiated, Do Dil is slated to end on 1 August 2014, with the new show Jamai Raja taking its slot.

As for the loyal fans of the show, here's hoping that their outburst and plea gets heard by the channel

Its a general statement to calm down the fans I guess by telilng them we will b back soon ..

there is huge outburst on FB na .. so thats why actors will try to calm down the fans

I have tears in my heart after reading Arhaan's words. How can a man be sensitive like this. He doesn't think of himself or of his loose. He just thinls of his fans and wants them to be happy. What a great human he is!

Mansi too is so sweet. I love this girl. She makes me smile even when I am sad. I am proud to be Arhaan's and Mansi'sfan. Want to see them togather again.

Thanks a lot for sharing this article Shobhi

To be honest, I don't really agree with what Arhaan said. If some injustice is being done, then we need to fight against it rather than just remembering the happy moments and doing nothing.
May be it is because of all this only, that there are reports about the new show getting the 11:00 p.m. slot...😊. I so want this rumour to be true.

Actually as actors they got to b politically correct a bit .. he cant publicly say go fight against channel or ph .. it will hamper their career and image .. like in company where we work and is our bread and butter , even if we know there is foulplay , we might quietly look for other job but we wont go around badmouthing it with a fear that what if this company ruins my reputation in such way that I dont get any other job .. they r bigwigs afterall
