Screen presence... d word presence is a dead giveaway😆...d ability to capture another's attention and sustain it for a duration of more than 90 odd minutes at one stretch. 😆

Paresh Rawal, Kader Khan, Atul Kulkarni, Mamooty, Mohanlal, Rajnikant...these actors never fail to capture my attention on screen. 👏

Among d popular actors there's Akshay Kumar, hate to admit this but Katrina Kaif 😆, Sonakshi Sinha and my current favourite Ranveer baba!😆 A reviewer of Gunday had this to say about d Singh lad and I concur...

Singh tucks the movie's center of interest under his arm and takes it with him " even though he has the could-be-thankless "good brother" role. But Singh is such an outsized visual presence, a natural swashbuckler with his great slab of a chest and flashing grin, that he reads as a movie star in every scene he's in, even when he's just lurking in the background, playing with his hair.

P.S. Thank you to d TM for dis topic. Was kinda bamboozled with all d Fawad topics in d forum! Kinda late of me to ask dis but who d hell is Fawad and why d hype?😕

I agree with you Sonam lights up the screen. She just had one song in BMB but she left a lot of impact. She's not a amazing actress but she defo have strong screen presence. And kat also have strong screen presence

I also get confused between Screen Presence and Acting or are they Same... coz actors i pick for good screen presence are good actors as well.

and TBH i dont consider SRK n Salman as versatile actors, they have become Hero with such a huge fan base, and fan base go to any extent to support them...but i feel their views are blurred due to fanGiri.

SRK is not versatile? A guy who did Darr, Baazigar, Anjaam, Swades, CDI besides romantic roles is not versatile? Salman is not as versatile as other Khans but still it is not like he never did anything different. He was fixed in romantic, family films earlier and nobody would have thought that years later he would be star of action and masala films.

Screen presence and acting do not go hand in hand. Sonali Bendre wasn't a great actor and improved only by 1999 but she always had screen presence. Tina Munim was always a non actor but had screen presence. Currently Katrina Kaif is biggest example of a non actor yet good screen presence.

It's difficult to define screen presence. But it's a quality that you either have or you don't.. like sex appeal. I don't think it's got anything with being good looking either.

Can't define it, so giving examples:

Salman Khan in that Salaam-e-ishq movie when he walks in at the start of the title song.

Salman Khan in Ek Tha Tiger when he wraps the shawl around his face after the opening fight sequence. Basically all of Salman's movies these days rides on his screen presence.

Ranveer Singh in Jashne-ishqa song, or all of Gunday. The film was crap, but all you see is him.

Amitabh Bachchan in his hay days, Deewar, Zanjeer, Agneepath.

SRK in his initial days Baazigar, Darr, Deewana. Not that great to look at, but you can't help but look at him.

Kareena Kapoor in most of her films, also Hrithik Roshan.
