The definition of screen presence is Amitabh Bachchan...when he is in a scene...everyone pales in comparison 😎

Lol people saying Salman has a screen presence is funny because... all his movies are made where he has a substantial role...obviously he will overshadow actors working with him.

True screen presence can be judged only in a multi-star cast... But ego of khans is so huge that they dont let any other actor get that kinda role.

I think screen presence is beyond an actor, its when an actor attracts you to get into the character he/she is performing...

btw hahk hssh sajaan no entry these are multi starrer was not a good actor at all but nobody overshadowed him

Screen presence to me is someone who just lights up the screen or just comes alive on screen. They may have strong personalities off screen or just look ordinary. It has nothing to do with talent or even looks. It can be seen even when they debut with a person with a strong screen presence.

The following are my examples

Excellent screen presence: Salman, SRK, Ranbir, Ranveer, Deepika, Sonakshi, Hrithik, Kajol, Sonam, Bebo, Kat. Ash, AbSr..

The best example of excellent screen presence in a debut while on screen with a person who generally drowns out others, Sonakshi in Dabaang with Salman.

Good screen presence: Anushka, Pari, PC, Lolo, Abhi

Bad screen presence: Aamir (does not stand out for me, I have to look for him), Imran, Saif

Terrible screen presence: Salman practically drowned her in JaiHo. Daisy Shah, Shahid initial movies like Vivah, Uday

How important is screen presence ? It can give a 40 year career to a rather shy man, not eloquent, who is not great to look at, can't dance or act well or have any discernible star quality off screen. But put him on screen and he comes alive that people scream and whistle and his on screen persona is so great, it is what has helped him in his career IMO. This is what screen presence is...the best example I can come up with. Rajnikanth.

This is a Rajni video that shows both his on screen and off screen persona. It is in Tamil, but you can see the contrast quite well IMO. Rajni is quite old in this, but off screen has not changed much.

K3G and Omkara are real Multi Starrer movies..

I am not sure but HAHK i guess was all about Salman-Madhuri love story..

Screen presence is when an actor lights up the screen even if they are playing a subtle character. For me Kareena, Ranbir, Kajol, Pari, Amitabh, Srk, and Alia have amazing amazing screen presence.

From current actresses..I don't think anyone beats Kareena when it comes to screen presence. Just watch her first film refugee or search for her intro scene on YouTube..she screams screen presence lol. Actors..probably Srk or Amitabh..I will go with Amitabh having the best screen presence.

It's obvious PC is the better actress..but I think Pari has better screen presence than her cousin.

Deepika did not use to have any screen presence..but I think with CE and YJHD..her screen presence has improved tremondesly. Don't know if that has anything to do with her acting improving too. Do screen presence and acting to hand in hand? That would be a good discussion topic. 😛

I agree holi, HDDCS had ajay who's better actor than Sallu but the movie is rememberd as Salman Aisnwarya Movie. That guy had strong screen presence.

Arrey yr dnt make me sound anti-salman...😆 but i feel HDDCS was also more about Salman-Aishwarya not just with on screen but off screen storyline.

I have not seen Saajan and Khamoshi...

For me star presence is for an actor who makes you remember some character for long time..
