Sitting on the rim of his window,he was recollecting the day's events...The one that was bothering him the most was the moment when he saw how the car's engine being repaired by Sanyu getting blasted on her face,almost!!He Thanked god that nothing happened to her!!
Recollecting the memory made him tremble when he remembered That fire from the blast was almost kissing allover sanyu's face...he felt a tear trickled down remember her situation...He felt few more droplets on his face...were his eyes streaming tears for her??? "Naah!!" he mentally slapped his mind...but then he felt a bit too many droplets on his face...'Flooding tears???no wayy" mumbling to himself he wiped the droplets off his face n looked up...
Soft drizzle smothered his face,giving him the pleasure of 1st rains of the monsoon!!He felt like this rain has wiped-off all his pains away from him!He wanted to be engulfed in this moment for like forever...but his riveriee was broken,by a beep in his mobile phone...
He moved back inside the room n took out hius cellphone displaying the msg from Sanyu "Meet me within few minutes in the work-out area...its urgent!!"..
He immediately called her,feeling concerned of her urgency...but she delliberately dint picked his call...
Feeling even more scared for her,he left the room n went towards the canteen n all-the-way to the open excercise area beside it...The sky had gone dark n it had started pouring heavily now...There wasnt anyone in the canteenn n Randhir stood there waiting for Sanyu...As he glanced towards the excercise area,he saw something gleaming at almost the end of it!!!He went out in the rain towards it,only to find his bike(the one with limited edition engine) standing there...He felt ecstatic...as if he was dreaming...he went forward n stroked it to make sure it wasnt a dream...
How can it be here???Chacha ne to kaha tha ye bikk chuki hai n tabhi mujhe paise mil paaye taaki mai fees bhar saku!fir ye yahan kaise aa gai??" Randhir was mumbling to himself,amazed at the sight in front of him...
"Randhirrr!!! keep aside ur sherlock mind,coz u dun have one!!!just check the card which is struck there in the brake wire...open it up...c'mon!!JALDIII!!" Shouted Sanyu to him,from far away edge of the canteen!!!Randhir was puzzled at first,but without pestering her,he took out the card (covered wid plastic cover over it) n opened it...
He was shell-shocked reading what was written on it...
"MANY MANY HAPPY RETURNS OF THE DAY RANDHIR" --n at the end it was scribblled in small letters "from Sanyukta"
He rubbed his eyes n read it twice n still couldnt believe...He turned around n saw Sanyu smiling at him...
He walked to her,n handing over the card to her he spoke "Whats all this Sanyu??How is this bike here??n u know it very well that i hate celebrating bday...so dont u dare try to proke me by fooling me like this"...he almost choked saying it to her!!
She kept her smile intact as she knew he was gonna get bewildered at it...She had heard him talking to chacha on phone - to sell his limited edition bike...N the she had sneaked n caught his mobile n called chacha,asking him to sell it to her,so can he can re-buy ...chacha had agreed,n had booked it for her...n then she arranged the funds,she had som in her a/c -the YSA scholarship that she had won --n she asked for money from her mom,lying to her that she is gonna buy some jewels for herself...but ofcourse she isnt gonna tell this to Randhir anyways...
She smiled more vibrantly looking him drenched in anger plus confused about the situation...
She gently took his hand in hers,n kept the bike key on it n said "Happy B'day Randhir" beaming a genuine smile to him...Her heart felt light looking at him...She felt peace of gifting him his priced possesion!!
"But how did u get..." Randhir was saying this but Sanyu ceased him to speak further by keeping her finger on his lips...He felt as if Lightening bolt have strucked to him..."oh leave it randhir...u just need to know that its urs now,again"...Saying this,she held his wrist n almost dragged him to the bike...All the way,he was just gazing at her...Awed,by the beauty,of her heart!!
They reached the bike n she said "Randhir,its the first rains of this monsoon!Monsoon r special...they bring-in the joy we have lost in somewhere...Lets rejoice this moment,your bday,by begining ur day with a road-trip,a longg drive on this beloved bike of your's "
She said it very earnestly...Without even thinking to deny it,he sat on the bike...
She sat behind him,trying to engulf every single moment of it!!He turned around n saw her facing upto the sky,eyes-closed,trying to drech into every single drop from the drizzle..."Oh how can she look soo beautiful"he thought inside his heart...for thought it was simply raining outside,his insides were having thunderstorms of her Love!!
She placed her hands on his shoulders as he drove towards the highway n all the way to the valley...Randhir was already smitten by her pure-heartedness...He was blushing feeling the warmth of her heart beside him!!
She was irresistible...The beauty seemed out of this world to him...He turned a bit n looked at her,n he knew he adored her!!
They rode n went on till a point came where they could see a Taprii(Tea-stall) open even in these Wee-hours of the night...Randhir halted the bike beside it n asked him to two cutting chai for them...to his disappointment,the tea-stall owner was almost closing the stall n thus only one cup cutting-chai was available,n he handed it to Randhir...
Randhir was bit underconfident on how to tell it to Sanyu,who was still lost-in-her-own-world to bother about anything else except the rain...she was loving every bit of it... "maybe this is the last time m moving out like a freebird in this rain...nahi Shaadi ke baad kabhi aisa kuch kar bhi paungii" this thought drained the ide smile off her face...Randhir arrived to her n offered the tea to her...She took it n was about to take a sip when she saw him empty-handed,n raised an eyebrow saying "Where's ur tea???dont say u dont drink it,coz i have seen u many times drinkig it"
Randhir made a disappointed puppy-face n said "the seller said he had no more tea left,this is the last of the lot"...Sanyu was in two-minof what to do...she was wet,n feeling cold as well...but she knew he was feeling too...She took a sip,n passed it too Randhir "We can share this Randhir!" she said with a vibrant smile...
Randhir was stunned by her act...he was about to deny but she didnt let him,n instead,she took the tea-cup to his lips n made him drink it by her own hands...Randhir was starting to feel his deep-down emotions overpowering his self...He could feel his heartbeats increasing by the mere touch she was giving by placing her other hand lightly beneth his chin for support while making him drink tea!!!He so badly wanted to retain this moment like forever...but soon the tea was finished-off by them,n it was time them to move back to the college now...They were about to get back on the bike when Sanyu saw a small infact very tiny waterfall (created due to heavy downpour of rain) just a few feets from them...She ran to it,n started playing into it...Randhir was touched by her child-like innocence...
His was falling deeper-n-deeper into her love...He stared at her constantly till she came to him n dragged him to the waterfall,splashing the water at him...He was mesmerised!!!Enthralled in her beauty...Fascinated by her sweet loving attitude towards him...
He moved closer while she was still splashing water over him...closer again...She moved back a step n stepped on a round stone,which made her almost fall,lest Randhir was quick enough to respond fast n held her from waist,saving her from falling...They both were so lost in eachother's eyes...She felt as if her heart skipped a beat...She clutched his hand tightly!!She wanted to speak how much she wanted this moment to stay like it forever...He could see it in her eyes an unusual tenderness for him...For a moment they felt the earth has stood still,n the time has ceased to move ahead..
They got out of the moment n went back to the bike,feeling sensations running down their heart n mind!!They drove back to FITE...on the way back,sanyu saw Randhir shivering a little while driving..."Maybe he is feeling cold...and so m i...i think i can help him with this"she thought...
She moved towards him,n slided her arms from behind,under his arms,n rolled them over till they reached his shoulders...finally she rested her head on his shoulder,n closing her eyes,she tried to feel lost in the moment...the rain,the bike,n Randhir..thats all that mattered at that moment,to her,n to him too...She was very veryy close to him...So close that he could feel his warm breaths...the warmth of her body was heating-up his body...her heart thumping from behind,made him fell out-of-the-world... He was loving every single moment spent in this roadtrip...
Finally the reached back to the FITE gate...she jumped off from the bike n with great difficulty,tried to face him...She didnt knew why she was having a very unique feeeling after all this that happened in this trip...was this the rain's effect???she just couldnt figure it out...
Finally mustering the courage,she spoke "hey it was a nice time with u tonight...m awestruck by the fact that m gonna cherish this trip forever..." She said genuinely with a faint smile,she was really feeling disheartened that the trip has come to an end..."Goodnight Randhir" saying this she turned away to leave,but Randhir grabbed her hand n pulled her back,towards him...
He bent a little,n gave a light peck,on her cheek...She was stunned...her large hazel orbs almost popped out staring at him blankly for what he did...He leaned back,n said "Thanks,Sanyu...for everything tonight" he said in a deep husky voice,n she could feel its been said whole-heartedly...he further spoke"I cant thnak u enough for what u have done to me tonight...N that peck was just a small return-gift for the favour u did to me" He beamed at her...
She beamed back at him...She dunno what made her do this,but she took his hand n squeezed it a little,n spoke "I thought we r friends...So dare u say thank to me the next time...buddu" saying this she poked him lightly...n finally left for her hostel...dreamily...she wondered all the way,was it really a dream,or reality???
The Rain had really drizzled love on them...n it was magical!!!
