CHAPTER-7.

The time will stand still,and the heaven smile..

When you will touch me again..

And I will set you free from the shackles that ties you -

As I soothe away all your pain..

Veera forgot to breath as her heart beat raced,while she looked up into the same dark eyes that had been haunting her for months now..

The moonlight made his handsome face glow,and her heart squeezed painfully,as she remembered how she had waited to see this very same face..The harsh lines of his features were making her insides burn,and she ached to feel every inch of that endearing face with her own fingers..

The eyes that looked down at her did not strangely seemed to have that hidden naughty glow in them,that always took her by surprise and teased at her senses..

He was the very same person,yet,there was something so much different about him..

She gulped down a knot of nervousness,as she tried to catch her breath..

"Dev..?"She finally managed to whisper out,and in the next moment she was pulled closer to his wet half naked body..

That was when Veera suddenly became acutely aware of his half naked state,and her close proximity to him..Her entire body started tingling,and the hand that was holding her waist tightened,so that she was plastered to him..

Veera inhaled a short sharp breath,as she felt her kurti top getting soaked from the moisture in his body,and the heat from his body was now seeping into every pore of her body..

Her stomach muscles coiled up in response,and she moved a little when his soft chest hair brushed against her lips,and Veera felt she was lit up in a colourful rainbow of need,passion and irresistible yearning that was ready to sweep her away any moment now.

He made her straighten as he pulled her harder and closer..His lips were so close to hers now,and he was so solid and real,his musky scent drowning her,that Veera suddenly felt tears prickling at the back of her eyes..She tried to gulp down the clog of emotions in her throat,as she was divided between the physical pull towards him while her heart twisted painfully,at the realisation that his solid form was finally infront of her..

She closed her eyes,and the tears ran down her cheeks,as she suddenly placed her face against his wet hard hairy chest,as the silent tears mingled with the water on his chest..

"Dev.."She whispered in an awed voice,as she wrapped her arms tightly round his wet body,as far as she could reach,as if wanting to hold onto him tight and never let go..

He pulled her chin up,and looked down at her wet eyelashes,adn wide brimming eyes,and then at her bottom lip which she was biting onto,to hold her tears at check..

"Veera..?"

Veera inhaled a sharp breath,and her knees wobbled as she nearly fell to her knees to weep her heart out..

She had heard that husky voice saying her name after such a long long time..!

It was like she had finally faced the spring showers after months of draught..He was like a breath of fresh air after years of living in dirt and stench..He was.,He was everything she wanted and yearned for..And she just did not want to let him go again..Ever..

But he was busy studying her each and every feature at that moment..His wet hair curled round his forehead,making her want to touch and tease them..

A drop of water fell on her lips from his wet hair,making her lip light up in fire instantly..

Baldev breathed heavily,studying her every feature in detail and to his heart's content..After all it was not every day that a man could hold his dream in his arms..

His eyes burned as she took in her teeth biting down at her soft bottom lip,and he inhaled a sharp breath..

He wanted to tell her that she could not do it,that it was his right to sink his teeth into those soft rosy softness..

And then a drop of water fell onto the very same lip as she shivered and let go of it..

Baldev gulped as his thigh tightened in need..

The drop of water glistened on the full bottom lip,and suddenly he wanted to taste that drop..

Her nails digging into her naked back,and her hot breath against his naked wet chest was making his blood roar with need and unbearable desire for her..

He lowered his mouth and licked at the drop of water from her lip,making her gasp out..

He moved his lips away to stare down at her beautiful large eyes,and his heart raced faster than ever..

Her beautiful face looked ethereal in the milky glow of the moonlight above them..

Baldev was about to claim her lips with his,when an owl hooted nearby,and instantly he let her go and moved away..

What was he doing?!

How could he forget she did not feel the same for her?!

Cursing himself loudly he strode towards the cottage,not sparing a second look at the girl who stood stunned alone,staring at his retreating back with shock and confusion written all over her face..

Baldev had reached the door of his cottage,when he felt her hand on his shoulder.

"Baldeva!RUK!

[Baldeva!STOP!]"

He stood still but did not bother to turn to face her..

"Veera..Mainu bauhot kaam hai..Tainu jo kehna hai kehke chli ja iththe se..Mainu-..

[Veera..I have lots of work,,Say whatever you have to and leave from here..I-..]"He could not finish his gritting words as she forced him to turn and face her.

"Baldeva..!Tu kiththe tha inne dino?!Pata hai tainu dhundhte dhundhte tera Beeji papaji ka ki haal ho gaya hai?!Tune ek vaari bhi nai socha unka ki haal hoga?!Ek vaari bhi tainu ye khayaal nai aya ki meri ki haal hogi tere bina..?!

[Baldeva..!Where were you for so many days?!Do you know what has happened to your fath and mother in searching for you for so many days?!You did not think even once what will happen to them?!You did not even think what will happen to me without you..?!]"Veera suddenly stopped talking as she realised what she had just confessed,and a hot flush spread across her cheeks..

She moved back a step,but Baldev was soon to follow..

He grabbed her arms,and pulled her closer.

"Teri ki haal hogi Veera..?Tu to khush hi hogi na?Pind da musibaat nalyaak jo chala gaya..

[What will happen to you Veera..?You must have been happy right?That the trouble of Pritampura,the useless one left..]"He gritted out looking down at her wide eyed face,with a strange pained expression on his own..

Veera inhaled a sharp breath,as she realised how hurt he looked..That was when she also noticed,he looked to solemn and sad,and his face did not have the usual laughter lines etched on it..

What had happened to him..?!

How had he changed like this..?!

How had Baldev Singh turned into a shadow of something he was before..?!

As the thoughts crossed her mind,her heart squeezed painfully as she tied to understand what was happening and what she was feeling..

Suddenly she wanted to kiss him,and tell him everything will be alright..That now that she was here,she would fix all his problems and soothe the pain in his heart whose reflection she could clearly see in his beautiful eyes..

She slowly raised a shaky hand to touch his face,when she was pushed away as he turned to leave again..

"Dev..?!"She called out softly,and he stopped..

"Veera,tu ja iththe se!Mera sabar ka imtihaan mat le!Itte raat gaye koi agar yaha mere saath akela vekh lega to-..

[Veera,you go from here!Don't test my patience!If so late at night someone sees you alone with me then-..]"

"To kya hoga Dev..?Aur waise bhi to meri saath ki karegi jo-..

[So what will happen Dev..?And anyways what will you do with me that-..]"

Veera could not finish her words as suddenly he whirled around ,and she was pushed against a nearby tree trunk..

His hands trapped both hers by her head,while his naked chest plastered close to her bosom,as he moved his face closer to hers..

"Vekh na chahti hai..?Ki main ki kar sakta hu tere naal..?

[Do you want to see..?That what I can do with you..?]"His husky voice were like a cloud of hypnotizing cloak round her,as his dark eyes burned into hers..

He moved a bit closer as Veera waited for him to complete his threat..She did not want to wait to find out what he could do with her..She wanted him to do everything now..
