A question has been haunting me; maybe you can help!😃

Does it matter if a girl is more educated than a boy? for marriage? the quality of relationship after marriage? Is it a reason for objection?😳 Can't believe I am asking!😆😆

Well being a clear optimist, no education does not matter in marriage.
But realistically, lots of girls won't marry a guy who is less educated than them! In India especially, girls want someone who is just as educated if nor more than them. But that is not to say that it can't happen, some of cousins have been married to girls who are more educated than them. And they are doing fine.
Personally, for me I don't know if edcuation matter as much as ambition. As long as a guy knows where he is going in life and has some sort of career, I am all happy.

Believe it. its true...😆

Yes.. However broad-minded the man, he will find sometime somewhere the girl is flaunting this extra acheivement and unwillingly trying to show him down including implicit unintended condescensions....😆.. The last time I heard..It is still a man's world...

The last time the MAN heard, it was a MAN's world... and cant seem to agree that woman got a right to live in too ... with dignity 😉

Every year the results are out, the girls score more than guys, the girls passing percentage is higher than boys... and in most cases, it does translate into women having qualifications higher than the man... sometimes even pay packets higher than man.

There is nothing right or wrong about who can be more educated or more moneyed, but at the end of the day, if THE fragile ego cannot accept that the woman may be more qualified than the man in field of education and that causes a friction between the two, it would be better, for the longevity of the relationship, to permit the MAN to believe that he is better😛

I believe that the current generation of men (mostly) have a more healthier ego than their ancestors, and problems of ego clashes on account of higher education or bigger pay packets should not affect the relationship.... but then again, no two men are alike and one cannot tar another with the same brush without independently assessing each man.

I agree with both qwerty and priya on these- depends on the man. SURROUNDINGS matter too. sometimes, they put ideas into the man who has been secure while falling in love 😊. it is always the woman's job to keep the ego pampered some i think.

If true love/understanding is there Ego clash never happen..... 😊 i think so... 😊

I agree with priya di. girls are smarter than guys and we have exam results/qualifications to prove it. However, men still have an ego issue. they want to be stronger, more educated and making more money than their wife. if u think about it, it shouldnt matter as long as the two love, trust and understand each other...but we dont live in an utopia. Infact, ive seen divorces as a result of this. The women were far more educated than the men and in return earning a larger pay check. The men felt inferior and ego clashes led their relationships to an end. the only ones who suffered were the childrens. but then again these examples are of people from my parents' generation and things have changed. it really depends on the individual guy and girl and their feelings on this. Personally, i dont want to marry a guy who's less educated than me. it would be weird..but then again, im still young and there are many years till proposals come my way...so my POV might change.

lol. only one guy so far who thinks a smarter woman would be a problem whereas most of the women think like that. now if the woman herself will have such a snobbish attitude, what's the poor guy to do? 😉 😆

i think if the girl's smarter and she's still interested in the guy, then that means he's got something she doesn't. like maybe he might have a great personality or sense of humor. might even be the life of the party with his one-liners and his roving charming eye. in that case, he's bringing something else to the table and then it can work out.

btw, doesn't have to be just table. could be other things as well. eg. bed. 😉

i think sleep-time is the greatest equalizer. not exactly using our brains when we sleep, are we? 😉can make the dumb person look good and the smart person foolish. just comes down to who snores the loudest, the longest. so at least then, it doesn't matter if she's smarter.

in fact, if she's smarter, she would know how to not nag, how to not give him a hard time all the time, how to bring home some great bacon while the love of her life can have a great time bumming off her, how to keep him from wondering around etc etc. Now which guy will actually gripe about that? ok, maybe he would since he is so dumb. oh i dont know. u got me all confused now😆
