Do real life people like Shaurya need mental help at first?

I agree here, shaurya does show signs of severe mental illness. He definitly needs some help there.

And with that intention that women are his slaves, he emotionally blackmails his mother. Be it rape case or fake degree case, he has some crocodile tears to please his mother. I wish not to mention suchitra here because she already is a fool.

After the rape case, although it was totally wrong both ethically and legally, Sakshi as a mother should have tighten his freedom for sometime. Instead, this woman who claims to be a loving mother went on to spoil her son further and long 2 years he sat at home doing nothing except eyeing the girls. Sakshi should thank Durga because until she was there, Shaurya didn't know where the office of the Goenka was. What did Sakshi do to stop Shaurya ? Its a curse to have a mother like Sakshi. I hope Shaurya says this to her.

He is not mentally ill. He is a brat. He got everything easily in his life even the forbidden things. His parents gave him everything he wanted. That's the reason he can't lose the bet or lose what he has eyes for. Durga is his zid like Nitya was. Like a kid who wants a toy he wants Durga. So sorry but I disagree. He is not mentally ill. He is a bad guy, a psycho. Not because he is a mad but his education.

But I agree with you that he deserves punishment. And a person like him deserves to get tortured. 🤢

hello all..real life psychiatrist here..brand new in fact, just got my degree after an ass-slogging three years of residency..😳 so putting in my two cents since the topic is abt mental health..(i cnt resist)

shaurya according to my diagnosis over the last few months pretty much fulfils criteria for an ANTISOCIAL PERSONALITY DISORDER.. it basically means tht he has the mental capacity to make judgement, has an idea of repercussions of his behaviour and for all practical purposes IS NOT INSANE, he just dsnt care..he has no remorse for any of his behaviour, is willing to go to any extent for his own satisfaction and is a self-centred human who has no emotions for fellow human beings..as someone said, is a textbook sociopath.. most criminals fall into this category..it is one of the most difficult personality disorders to treat, coz the patient (if we can call him tht) is not having any major psychiatric disorder, knows what he is doing and does not believe there is anything wrong with him.. in fact, personality disorders are not even considered as a disorder or mental incapacity coz these people, in their routine life, have always been like this and as i said earlier, have no symptoms suggestive of any mental disorder like anxiety, depression or psychosis..

the reason for this distinction is necessary so tht these people cannot plead insanity in court of law for their crimes, which they are quite predisposed to commit..
