That is why I admire Dev's qualities yet never give him credit in relation to Durga. He has not only past to account for but needs to grow a backbone in present too. For any girl it is an insult if her identity is questioned and she is asked to lift her clothes to show a birthmark and prove herself at someone else's house. This is no way to treat an outsider at one's house.
Dev was too mild in his protest. He could not take a stand. And he and his mother rather joined the circle of those who came forward to look at Durga's birthmark. Especially Suchitra was very curious!

It is not just that Durga is Nitya that Dev should have said something but for any girl in general!

Dev has a lot to prove. Long way to go.

Merely registering protest is not enough. You need to take a stand.

Stopped because of Shaurya or Rajnath or Sakshi is no excuse.

He could have atleast said not to do drama in drawing room and take Durga to a room where female members could check her birthmark.

Dev just wants his things to be done his way and as long as he is not personally affected he remains in deliberate ignorance of sins of other Goenkas. He is like those milds like Bhishma, Gandhari on Kauravas side as of now. He knows the wrong but is somewhat silent and inactive.

You can't expect more from Dev's side. His and Durga's relationship ain't like of His was with Nitya. What actually he knows about her? He is their Business partner's Daughter, and their interaction haven't been that expressing to conclude them as Friend. So, I wasn't that surprised. But, Indeed disappointed.

Yeah I guess we all wanted that. Hopefully she doesn't stay mad at him. Maybe he will be the reason Durga will come to say sorry to the Goenkas.

But ToolConfuser, even for concern in general towards a girl and her privacy Dev could have spoken up. Yet he did not.
Dev's position is like mix of Drona and Bhishma in MB right now. Kauravas (Goenkas) are not sure if he will fight from their side. Pandavas (Durga) are reluctant to go against him, have no idea how to tackle him due to past bonding and inoffensive present stance.

Dev needs two years to wake up and come to the realization that something is amiss.😆

He cannot think fast enough to come to anyones rescue in the moment. 😆

My first reaction was did Dev know about Nitya's birthmark in her foot? If he knew ,there would have been some other kind of emotion on his face. That would have been a nice twist to the story.
