The Jigyasa that hated the Dixits and wanted to rule WM died when Ashwini left the role. She was masterful in the role of Jigyasa and made the audience love her and hate her. My 6 year old still misses her 😆.
Ashwini had perfect comic timing and the wickedness of her character could be seen in the twinkle of her eye and her toothy grin. Unfortunately, Jigs' character took a turn for the comic worse when Jaya took over. No offence to Jaya - but her portrayal of Jigs compared to Ashwini's is like night and day. Although I hated Jigs, one could still understand the motivation for her dastardly evil deeds.
This Jigs is vaccuous and forgetable. Her shrill laughter and totally insane way of talking to herself as if everyone is wearing hearing aids with dead batteries is not only annoying but stupid. Her shrill laughter and praise of Pia is irritating and only cause me to remember Ashwini's wonderful, naughty, devilish portrayal all the more 😭 .
For me the true character of Jigs died when Ashwini left. The playful banter that Adi and that Jigs shared where you could feel his palpable love for her and her displeasure and yes love for him is gone. There is none of those hidden deep feelings between Adi and the new Jigs.
As for this Jigs having a plan - I'm sure at some point she would have talked aloud to herself and we would know about it. This woman can't keep anything secret - she is constantly talking to her self like some schizophrenic patient. Ashwini always had that evil gleam in her eyes that made us realize - there was more to her. She didn't always have to be to blah blah blah. Maybe the new Jigs was foreshadowing the changes in KS.
She is blah blah blah and now we have AD with more blah blah blah that is just simply irritating like someone dragging their fingernails down a blackboard 🤢 .
Jigs' character like most of the original characters has taken a turn for the worse. Hopefully the destructives will make an abrupt U turn and go back to the original characterization of all of these characters who added richness and texture to the KS canvas and made the audience love them or love to hate them.
