Dilip Joshi in Anand for Guru Purnima

Dilip Joshi needs no introduction. He has been entertaining the audience for last six years as Jethalal in SAB TV's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Dilip is regular to Gujarat during Holi, Navratri and many other occassions. Recently, this veteran actor visited Bochasan village in Anand district. He was present at the headquarters of BAPS and addressed the people who assembled for Guru Purnima related programme. Not only this, he is regular with his visits to Gujarat during Holi with the similar religious intentions. Undoubtedly, Dilip is too spiritually inclined and doesn't mind the frequent trips for the same.

Neha Mehta " better known as Anjali Mehta of SAB TV's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a person Amdavadis relate a lot to. And why not? After all she's an Amdavadi too. She shares, "My parents are here so I love to keep coming here. I have many fond memories of the city." Neha has been actively contrivuting to Gujarati movies and television. She is still remembered for her role in Sau Dahda Sasuna. She shares, "I enjoyed my Gujarati television stint. Sau Dahda gave me a good exposure amongst regional entertainment industry and I got so much love from viewers. They still remember me for the role.

TMKOC Actresses who sizzled on Gujarati prime time

Pretty Neha Mehta, who is now often seen in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, too has had her share of glam moments on the Gujarati prime time. Neha who played the chhoti bahu in the popular Gujarati soap Sau Dada Sasu Na also mesmerised everyone with her stellar presence in the show Sami Sanj Na Shamna. Neha managed to create a USP of her own in the show which had stalwarts Homi Bawa and Neelima Parandekar -- who is seen in the Hindi TV show Ek Ghar Banuanga. Neha too, had her share of flashbulb moments in the industry as her talent got her more accolades in the showbiz. Not to mention her glamorous tryst with Dhollywood in Janmo Janam.

Hindi Television's current darling Disha Vakhani's journey in fact began with Gujarati Television and theatre. The effervescent actress, who lights up the small screen with each of her telly appearance on the daily show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, has firmly stood by her principle to spread the Gujarati sweetness. Disha, who did many Gujarati plays including the famous Kamaal Patel Vs Dhamaal Patel, also hosted Gujarati TV shows like Sahiyar, which catapulted her to Gujarati telly flame. Bron to a family of actors, Disha simply sizzled in her Gujarati Telly endeavours. Disha's father is eminent theatre actor Bheem Vakhani, who also did movies like Lagaan and Jodha Akbar. The gifted actress made quite a fan following in Gujarat.

Flashback moments: Disha Vakhani not only sizzled on her various Gujarati TV outings, but also on the ad space too. While ad filmmakers like Deepak Antani exploited the raw talent in the actress, Disha's brand equity as a promising actress just got boosted which earned her more name and fame. Disha also did a TVC along with renowned actress Apara Mehta, who too hosted a TV show titled Sudi Vacchey Sopari. The two divas Apara Mehta and Disha Vakhani even today are talked about for their immense contribution in pepping up the Gujarati prime time.
