He wasn't weak.. he was just egoistic. Of course Dev D's characters are going to be stronger because they are set in the present day, whereas Devdas was a period film.

Devdas is not my fav movie of Srk or aish or madz but still I think 2002 devdas was much much better than the old one.

Aishwarya Madhuri did better job than suchitra and vijayamthimala.

Definitely the new one. Just rewatched it, damn we are really missing good acting nowadays.

SRK was phenomenal in that scene and Ash shouting deva is haunting! She deserved every award for that movie!

I haven't watched Bhansali's Devdas from start to finish ever. in parts & that was enough.

honestly, I felt SRK & Aish was too OTT in it. may be its just me, but I couldn't seat thru them. 🥱

I liked Vyjanthimala better. Honestly MD looked a bit jaded in certain scenes of Devdas. Vyjanthimala was in her prime when she did Devdas and seemed amazing.

Suchitra Sen and Ash are debatable. Depends on kind of acting one prefers. Ash was good in Devdas so I cannot rate her below the heroines in older versions.

Dilip Kumar is the best Devdas hands down. SRK was simply hamming to glory in SLB version and even won biggest ham of Bollywood poll by Outlook after this film.😆
