At least tell the viewers what happened to the Mehtas......

I think they must be dead

first things first. Not trying to be offensive in anyways. But please understand stand that you cannot expect people to reply you right away. Itjs important to give it some time.
Now moving on to the subject. The Mehtas were barely talked about therefore it didn't seem important for the CVs to show them. Plus even in Kasaks wedding there were relatives of sharda present and not shardas immediate family. Because of which one can come to a conclusion that the Mehtas disappear from the face of the earth.

Or previously Sharda said that she had not met her parents from a very long time so maybe she has no idea now where they are and how they are

Think about it this way if every characters had all their relatives do you now how many actors a show would require. Gee even Kyunki couldn't handle all those actors together that's why there were bunch of leaps

I am already irked with these characters...Think this way..!

Even Prateek's family is not shown, even Sakshi's family except her mother is not shown..!

Nothing is told about her father...If the story concentrates on these things how will it concentrate on the main track, the nayi pehchaan track..!

And the story revolves around Sharda making a new pehchaan for herself after marriage ON HER OWN..!!

This definately does not require any of her old family members..!

The Mehta's track will be reserved for another time. They need to keep extending the show. 😆

But it would be pretty neat to bring them in an have them witness Sharda's revolution/evolution.

I would hate it if they were shown evil.
