Tv actress Ankita Sharma has quit Saurabh Tewari's Rangrasiya. "There was not much for me to do in the show. In fact, I was not shooting for a month and my dates weren't utilised. I put in my papers recently. The decision was amicable as I wanted to take up another project," she says.
Apparently, not all was well between the actress and her co-actor Ananya Khare, who are both playing negative characters in the show.

Says a source, "When Ankita was reintroduced in the show, Ananya was overheard telling some colleagues that having another antagonist was unnecessary when she could do the needful. On another occasion, the veteran actress threw a major fit when Ankita used the washroom in her makeup room. The two studiously avoided each other and only exchanged brief greetings when their paths crossed."
So was that why she quit the show? Ankita refutes, "My quitting has nothing to do with Ananya. She is a senior actor and we've worked together in the past."
