Part 8:

Back at the resort, Shagun was plotting a bigger plan as an attempt to get back to Raman's life. She had tactfully planned the dinner at Raman's suite. After dinner, she sent Ruhi with Adi for watching some cartoon and also some interesting video games. Shagun sat there talking about good old times trying to tell him how happy they were together etc etc.

He literally yawned clearly showing his lack of interest in her so called good old times talk. She ignored his disinterest and went on talking just to prolong the time together.

Shagun voiced in an excited tone as if refreshing her memories, "yaad hai na Raman, Jab main pehli baar pregnant hui tab tum kitne khush hua teh...poore society mein laddu distribute kiya tumne...It was a dream come true moment for you...din raat mere wishes poore karte teh aur Adi se baatein bhi...remember?"

She knew his weak nerve and was hitting hard at the same spot...Adi. He smirked at her attempts to get him weak and vulnerable. He knew exactly what she aimed for. She wanted to melt him broaching on the most sensitive topic about Adi. He replied back in a serious tone, "mujhe Adi se related sab yaad hai Shagun...tum hi ho jo sab kuch bhool gayi thi and you turned him against me..."

That made her silent for a long minute before she started her next trick, "It was a mistake Raman...main aaj bhi uss keliye sharminda hoom...I regret leaving you Raman"

He could only laugh at that and his sarcasm spilled over when he said, "really? Kya tumaara 6 foot dho inch boy friend tumaare shopping bills pe kanjoosi kartha hai ya phir tumaare spa wagera ka funding nahi kartha? Baat kya hai Shagun?? Ab achaanak regret jaise bade bade baatein, huh? Anyways, inn sab baaton mein mujhe koyi interest nahi hai"

Before he could say anything further, she snapped him as she shifted next to him on the couch, "Come on Raman...I know ke ab tumaari dusri shaadi ho chuki hai parr main jaanthi hoom ke you don't love her...You still love me Raman...aur humesha karthe rahoge..."

He stood up snapping her indecent actions and talks, "Shut up Shagun...jo baat tumhe nahi patha usske baare mein baat matth karo...Go back to your room now"

She got up too taking off her over coat of the velvety nighty and her hands slid up his back to his shoulders. She tried to press there a little as if to arouse him, or rather seduce him. She spoke up as she did that, "Raman, just imagine one right decision from you now and we could be back together...tum, main, Adi, Ruhi...all of us as a perfect family...and think about us Raman...woh lamhe, woh raat, ek ek pal jab hum saat teh...our romantic passionate moments...you can never even dream such things with that behenji...please Raman, leave her and come back to me..."

She added instantly, "Come back to Adi..." as an attempt to mellow him down but that went in vain. It didn't work like a magic on him anymore. She had literally crossed her limits with him.

He furiously pushed her away from him, "You disgust me woman...you really disgust me! I mean what are you?? You left me because you weren't satisfied with my financial status and now you want to come back to me! Mere paas paise hai toh waapas lautna chahte ho, huh? I know that I really dont have to explain anything at all to you..but still, I want to make it clear to you today...You think I love you and still brood over the loss, well you are mistaken Shagun...I am not mourning anymore...In fact I am very happy that you left me because I got someone like Ishita only because of that...aur kisne kaha ke main usse pyar nahi kartha...chalo aaj main tumaari uss galat faymi bhi khatam kartha hoom...I love her...I love her so much that i cant even think of a moment without her...Ishita yahaan nahi hai phir bhi, woh yahi mere saath, mere khayaalon mein hai..Get this right into your head Shagun...She is my wife and I love her...jis perfect family ke baat tum kar rahi ho na? uss family ka hissa tum kabhi nahi ho sakthi Shagun...Its only Ishita who can make my family, my home, my life perfect...raha sawaal Adi ka...baccha hai aur isiliye tumaare ishaare pe naach raha hai...kuch saal ki baat hai...He will recognize your true colors Shagun...apni mamma ke dirty picture dikhega usse aur tab woh mere paas waapas aayega...He will start loving Ishita like his own mother...I trust her in that also...she will teach him the true meaning of love jo tum kabhi nahi samjhoge...her selfless devoted love will direct Adi towards me, towards the right way of life Shagun...So just stay out of my life and stop emotionally blackmailing me using Adi...dont you dare try your dirty manipulative tricks on me hereafter...raho uss Ashok Khanna ke paas usske so called GF bann ke ya phir kisi aur ameer businessman ko doond lena...mujhe aur mere pariwar ko baksh dho..."

She was hell shocked at his words which cut her across like a sword but guilt was something which she had long forgotten. So she sneered angrily pointing her finger at him, "YOUUU...HOW dare you Raman?"

He turned away from her not able to even tolerate her face, "Get lost"

She angrily stormed out of the room.

He furiously shuts the door close and walks straight into the shower once more. He needed it to cool himself down. He opened the shower and let the water trickle down on him as if to wash away the alien touches. Shagun touching him in a seductive manner irks him endlessly. Only Ishita had the right to touch him that way. He wouldn't let anyone else do that. He didn't know how and when that intense thought cropped in his mind, probably it was the purity of a relationship like marriage, his respect to their marriage and yes atleast to himself, he had to accept his love for her.

When he felt relieved and clean, he put on a bath robe and stepped out to the room. His phone rang and he picked it up. It was his mother enquiring about Ishita. He was shocked to know that Ishita was on her way to the resort and that too it was already time she reached here.

A knock on the door relieved him. He cut the call after comforting his mother that Ishu is fine and was here. He walked to the door.

There she stood, all drenched up as it was raining. It was evident that she had come there running as she panted heavily. He wondered what triggered this sudden action from her. He couldn't think of a reason.

"Ishi..."

She stepped in snapping him short and looked around. Her eyes fell on Shagun's over coat on the floor but Raman pitched in and tried to explain. He felt that his just out of shower state and the over coat could give false notions to Ishita. But before he said anything further, she spoke up, "I am sorry Raman...main yahaan aagayi...but trust me I never once believed Ashok's words..."

Raman was a little confused at that and she explained Ashok's attempt to sow seeds of suspicion in her mind. Raman could only chuckle thinking that Ashok understood Shagun completely. He then came back to Ishita and teased her, "toh tum mujhpe itna trust karthi ho, huh? Phir yahaan kyun aayi?"

She instantly replied, "I was missing Ruhi and..."

Her words ceased but he could see what she intended to say and he spoke up with a smile, "accha kiya tum yahaan aagayi...I was..."

He didn't complete it too but he was really happy with her sudden surprise entry. Perhaps he knew that she was his Jhansi ki rani who could stand as a shield to protect him from Shagun and her tacky games.

He snapped out and changed the topic to her drenched dress, "tum toh poori tarah bheeg gayi...Go and dry yourself first...else you will fall sick..."

She nodded and walked to the restroom which he pointed to. She smiled to herself as she locked the door after stepping into the wash room. She had heard every word of the conversation between Shagun and Raman, thanks to the door left ajar by Ruhi. Ishita now knew how much he missed her, love her and wanted her in his life. For the first time in their marriage, she felt like a real life, she felt loved and wanted by her husband...She felt special and felt like she was flying high in the sky. That's why she stepped away and had sprinted to a far corner of the resort to calm down after what she heard from Raman. She needed time with herself to come in terms with the truth that he loved her so much. She laughed, cried, blushed, smiled to herself and finally came back to her senses. Then she walked to his room slowly wondering how he would react seeing her there and what she would do or say when she saw him. For a moment, she also thought of going back home but then her heart tugged her along and longed to see him.

Meanwhile Raman was a little confused with his sudden rush of feelings. Seeing her here tonight and the mere thought of spending the entire night together made him ecstatic. Her drenched form and her almost confession of having missed him acted as catalyst too. Perhaps, he had to tell her what he felt for her. He had effortlessly told that to Shagun but now he felt at a loss of words. The woman he loved was so close to him and he really desired her and wished to make her his. Her being with Subbu also flashed across his mind adding to his determination to confess his feelings. He quickly changed into his casual wear and waited for her in anticipation.
