Arvind Babbal, the renowned Director who has laid the

on Indian Television will soon turn Producer.
The man who has had a rocking career as a Director came
into the limelight when he assisted Lekh Tandon in directing
Kartavya for Zee TV. After a career spanning over 15 years
with quite a lot of shows like Kumkum, Choti Maa, Viraasat,
Jiya Jale, Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Shobha Somnath
Ki to his credit, Babbal now plans to don the Producer's hat
for an upcoming show for Life OK. Recently, Babbal set up
SLB Films' Saraswatichandra as the Director for Star Plus.
A reliable source tells us that the genre which the Director is
planning to produce right now, will be a thriller. The
concept is huge, something that Indian television has not
seen before. The channel and producer presently refer to
this project by the title, Mahakumbh'.
When contacted, Arvind Babbal told us, "I will speak about
this at the right time."
When buzzed Ajit Thakur, General Manager, Life OK, he
said, "It's too early to comment anything at this point of
time."
This project in all likelihood will see its dawn early next
year (2014).

I don't care if he stay in sarwastichandra or not. Cause I think this show has ran long enough and we have seen the pros and cons both. And now the concern . Why such a good actor like Gautam is coming on life ok. That channel is so flop .. Which actor goes in it gets no recognition. It's good for newcomers but not for famous people at all.

Samud are our lives and will be so sad to see it end but it's true that the show isn't what it was and now they just showing anything and must be hard for good actors to have to keep going with bakwaas and show it with conviction. Tho I have loved all samud scenes!

I reckon it will be a case of if Gautam leaves the show will end! Thing is he is usually first to put an end to rumours but this time he hasn't said anything so it's probs true.

I just hope the show isn't what one of the article described!
