Is Finding Fanny similar to Little Miss Sunshine?

Like only difference is here the motive is to find Fanny while LMS was about reaching to fashion contest on time for Olive.
I mean similar concept. Road trip movie with relationship/bond developing between members in family and one of them dies.
I couldn't stop myself from comparing FF to LMS
What do you think?

It has the aura of Amelie the french movie. Super quirky charters with even more quirkier BG music 😆

I think it's a particular genre of movie.
The road trip, bonding, having a life changing experience all that crap.

It's also similar to Seeking A Friend at the end of the world - an old guy goes on a road trip to find his long lost love. Only difference is instead of a family...he only has this one young girl go on a road trip with him.

I don't think it's much like Amelie (sorry, it's my favorite movie of all time!😉). Amelie was quiet, strange, and introspective. FFF seems more like a loud, quirky movie about five misfits and their growing relationships to each other.

Anyway, I'm looking forward ot FFF. I love offbeat films. Even though my Ranveer is apparently DEAD in the movie!😆

I agree the storyline probably is not like Amelie. I was reminded of that movie for some reason when I was watching the trailer. Probably because of the range of music they had used and the way they have shot the scenes; sort of gives a strange, quirky vibe.

Will surely watch this movie irrespective of the fact that it might be an uncredited ripoff an English / French movie.
