In Ekta's world, marriage is not viewed as a sacred institution, it's viewed as a game, that's why they marry the same person over and over and over again...then they have one night stands, and they have affairs, and they have people falling in love with married people and get mad when they cannot get them. It is an absurd world with no sense of morality.
In a normal world - the one that we still live in, we respect our marriage. We don't do what the characters in Ekta's serials do. We don't steal our sisters' husbands and shamelessly rejoice the death of our sisters as the death of a competitor. It is of course unacceptable to marry for a week, or marry with an agenda to take revenge on someone else, but this is not real life - it is rather farthest away from what I understand to be real. It is Ekta's convoluted world of unscrupulous people, so anything goes here...
