Yesterday there was thread discussing actors' filmography. Let's discuss filmographies of actresses.

Who have among the best ones? Quality, subject, versatility, performance - all criteria considered? (BO is not the prime criteria).

Debate is on Bollywood so please focus on credits in Hindi films mainly.

The best, in no particular order:

Vidya Balan.

Paa, Parineeta, Ishqiya, TDP, Kahaani, Bhool Bhulaiyaa (her role).

Rani Mukherjee.

Black, Veer Zaara, NOKJ, LCMD, Saathiya, Yuva (her role).

Sridevi.

Sadma, Lamhe, EV, Khuda Gawah.

Konkana Sensharma.

Page 3, Life in a Metro, Mr. and Mrs. Iyer.

Kangana Ranaut.

Gangster, Woh Lamhe, Fashion, Queen, Tanu Weds Manu.

Priyanka Chopra.

Fashion, Barfi!, Aitraaz, What's Your Rashee.

She has done commercial films like Don series, Agneepath, Krish series, Dostana to name few.

She has done some really strong and good films, revolving around different genres of drama, thriller, dark comedy, romantic comedy - Barfi, Fashion, Kaminey, Whats Your Rashee, Aitraaz, Saath Khoon Maaf - Each film having a well defined, well written role for her.

Be it looking sexy, looking like a western babe, presenting herself in a traditional look, behaving like seductress or an autistic girl - She has done it all.

And in future, she has also grabbed some really fine opportunities that will make her filmography more profound. A period film - BM, a film revolving around dysfunctional Punjabi family - DDD, a Biopic - Mary Kom!

Priyanka definitely is one of very few actress in Bollywood till now whose filmography has films that are high in quality, differ each other in genres, have hardcore subject and in all these films - She stands of her own, not being just a decoration piece!

For me it is -Sridevi, Aishwarya and Vidya Balan.

Sridevi -She played VARIETY of roles. From comedy-dramatic-typical bollywood masala-love story. She's a COMPLETE PACKAGE. No one comes near Sridevi.

Himmatwala - Sadma -Kalaakar -Nagina -Chalbaaz -Chandni -Lamhe -Khuda Gawah -Gumraah -English Vinglish.

JUST look at the variety of characters she portrayed onscreen. Magnificent and Exceptional! This is what you call Versatility!! (And i'm not even listing her South work, which is even more impressive) 👏

Vidya Balan -Paa -Ishqiya -Bhool Bhulaiya -Parineeta -The Dirty Picture -Kahaani.

She played it all, EVEN mother to Amitabh Bachchan ⭐️

Aishwarya -Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam -Taal -Chokher Bali -Khakee -Provoked -Raincoat -Guru -Jodhaa Akbar -Dhoom 2 -Umraao Jaan -Guzaarish

Though not the best actress, but she surely has one of the best filmography. VARIETY OF ROLES SHE PLAYED, never stuck to her comfort zone or repeated herself.

Deepika filmography is underwhelming, nothing really stands out. Hope it changes.

Sri Devi is the only person who comes to mind cos she honestly has the best filmography..No one comes close..Not even Vidhya cos Sri ruled for a really long time..And the fact that she did films both in the South & Bollywood gave her scope to try out a wide variety of roles..She is one of the most versatile actors out there..
