His hands are tightly holding the steering wheel and before leaving he has one last look at ishita. she is standing in the balcony expressionless, it is killing her inside but for ruhi she wants to be there. Raman can read her eyes, she is deeply hurt, he knew she does not trust shagun or adi for ruhi but that was not her only concern. They had never expressed their love to each other, they never had to. But today, she needed that assurance, she wanted him to come back to her.
They drove off, raman was completely disconnected with what was happening in the car, he was just thinking about ishita, he knew that she must be crying, he knew he was responsible for every tear. He suddenly felt the wetness in his eyes and quickly changed his mood, he dint want to upset adi, this was his one chance in years to actually bond with him and also to bring his 2 children closer.
Shagun was looking beautiful as ever, she dint want to miss any chance to impress raman. She was even trying her hand on managing the two kids, just to have some more plus points. Raman wanted to talk to adi about his likes n dislikes but stopped himself, he dint want ruhi to know how her father was Insulted n ill treated by her own brother. Ruhi is like her ishima and wont leave adi without lecturing, he thought to himself and smiled. Shagun asked him, 'kya hua? Khush ho rahe ho apni puri family ko saath dekh kar?", Raman can smell her expensive perfume, it irritates him. "Nahi do log kum hain meri biwi, ishita aur tumhara boyfriend, ashok." Shagun fumes and is silent during the rest of the journey.
The resort was beautiful. Raman was still restless he just wanted a reason to call ishita, just to find if she's alright. He looks at ruhi and then rings ishita, she ignores the call, she had cried enough and that would show up in her voice, the phone rang again, this time she picked it just to make sure that ruhi was fine. Raman says "ishita?"
"Haan boliye"
raman is trying to analyse he voice, "ruhi ki Uno..."
"Haan, wo daal di thi maini, bag ki upar wali chain mei hai"
"Ok, thanks, baaki sab ghar pe thek hain?"
She knows he is asking about her but she is not willing to answer
"Haan, sab thek hai. Mujhe kuch kaam hai. Bye"
