Raman meets Pathak on getting his call. Pathak informs him that one of his friend, had apparently seen the accident as well and though he couldn't see the face, he had told that it was a "young guy" who was on the driving seat while a woman was sitting on the passanger seat.
This gets Raman into thinking as to why should Shagun lie to him and take the blame on herself for a crime she hadn't committed. He knew her inside out and he definitely knew she is not the kind of person who would care about saving somebody else's life while putting her own life at risk.
He thanks Pathak and tells him not to inform about this new eyewitness to Shagun.
Raman thinks to himself "Kahin shagun ne mujhse jhoot to nahi bola ki accident usne kiya hai to save Param? Lekin, param ko kyun bachayegi wo? Nahi, there's something fishy! I need to find out the truth and only Shagun can help me as she knows the truth!"
Raman reaches office and is thinking what can make shagun take the blame on herself if she is indeed not the culprit? Can she be saving ashok? But what would Ashok get by hurting Amma?.And supposedly as per eyewitness, it was a young guy'. Who could it be? His mind was spinning with all the mess. Top of all, Ishita's words were ringing in his ears all the time.
"Jab Baat chupayi jaa rahi hai, to fir bharosa kaisa?" "Abhi, aap mera vishwaas nahi paa sakte hai Raman" "Aapko haq hai jhoot bolne ka...kyunki shaadi ke contract me ye nahi tha ki aap humesha sach bologe mujhse".
All these words were killing him, he was getting deeper into the mess and he knew it is not going to be easy to win his wife- his Ishita's trust again.
"Ishita, kal jo bhi tumne kaha, jaanta hu ki tumhari hare k baat sahi hai. Vishwas thoda hai maine. Lekin, main ye nahi sun sakta ki tumhara mujhpar koi haq nahi hai! Ofcourse haq hai Ishita, tum meri biwi ho. Kaash tumhe main ye samjhapaata" he closed his eyes to cry a silent tear.
On the other side, Adi is worried about Shagun and Shagun reassures him that Raman will not let anything happen to them. She also tells him to not ever talk about accident truth even by mistake.
Adi promises to do as per shagun's wish. He asks her if they can go somewhere on a holiday.
Shagun will not be interested initially, but she gets a plan to make Adi to invite Raman & Ruhi along for the holiday so that she can show Ishita that she is still the first wife of Raman and biological mother of his children which includes Ruhi who considers Ishita as her mother.
Adi doesn't like the idea of spending time with his papa & ruhi but agrees on Shagun's insistence and calls Raman to inform the same.
Aditya: Hello. Mujhe aapse kuch baat karni hai
Raman: Haan bolo beta, tum theek to ho na?
Aditya: Main chahta hu ki hum kahin ghoomne jaye.
Raman[with tears of happiness in his eyes that his son wants to spend time with him]: Hum? Tum mere saath jaana chahte ho beta?
Aditya: Haan, main apni family ke saath time spend karna chahta hu. Aap ayenge na? Aur haan, Ruhi ko bhi leke aana.
Raman happily obliges saying "Sure beta, hum bahut enjoy karenge...tum, main, ruhi aur ishita aunty"
Aditya replies "Ek min, main humari family ke baare me baat kar raha tha. Aapki new wife uss me nahi aati hai. Main mumma, aap aur ruhi ke saath jaana chahta hu."
Raman feels sad on learning this. He says "Magar beta, wo bhi humare saath aa sakti hai. Wo Ruhi ka khayal rakegi. Ruhi uske bina nahi aayegi."
Aditya, is least bothered of his papa's feelings "Wo sab mujhe nahi pata, maine aapse sirf aapke saath time spend karne ke liye bola. Aap to kehte ho aap mere liye kuch bhi kar sakte hai. To kya aap mere liye ek din nahi reh sakte? Sirf aap aur Ruhi aayenge humare saath, warna main aapke saath koi time spend nahi karunga"
Raman didn't want to disappoint his son, who after so many years, he himself asked to spend time with his father. Then he thought about Pathak's words that the culprit is someone else. He makes a plan to go with them and later catch hold of Shagun to get her to confess the truth.
Raman tells Adi "Theek hai beta. Aisa kabhi hua hai ki tune apne papa se kuch maanga ho aur maine nahi diya ho. Main Ruhi ko leke aaunga. Don't worry"
Aditya tells Shagun that Raman agreed. Shagun gives a victorious smile that her plan is working. Now she will show Ishita her place in Raman's life.
At home, Ishita is sitting alone in their bedroom. Ruhi comes and holds her ears cutely saying "I'm sorry Ishima". Ishita asks "Areh, aap kyun sorry ho baby?"
Ruhi says "Maine Sravu ke saath ladai kii na aur zidd bhi ki choti behen ke liye." Ishita's heart melts for her daughter as she lifts Ruhi into her arms and hugs her tightly with tears in her eyes.
Ruhi asks "Ishima, babies kahan se aate hai?" Ishita explains her that god gifts babies to parents and parent's bring them from hospital.
Just then Raman enters the room listening to the cute conversation of mother-daughter.
Raman tells Ishita "wo...hum...mera matlab hai...main...soch raha tha ki family picnic pe jay eek din ke liye."
Ruhi gets excited as she jumps and says "yayy! Hum picnic pe jayenge papa? Wow...bahut maza aayega..." she turns to Ishita and says "haina ishima?".
Ishita smiles forcedly mistaking that Raman wants to go on picnic with her and Ruhi.
Ruhi tells Raman "Papa, aap, main aur Ishima bahut enjoy karenge aur bahut sari photos bhi kheechenge. Main fir sab friends ko dikhaungi humari happy family ke photos."
Ishita too smiled looking at her daughter so happy. She thought she will go for her sake but then Raman with great effort, cleared it to them saying "Ruhi beta, hum yani tum, main, adi bhaiya aur shagun mumma jayenge picnic pe."
As soon as he finished his line, their faces turned pale. Ishita couldn't just believe what he said. Suddenly, she felt she had become a stranger to her own husband and her daughter. She felt alienated from her heart, her soul which was now in her husband and daughter.
With her eyes filled with tears, she stared into his eyes while asking him in her mind "ek hi pal me itna paraya kardiya raman aapne! Family picnic? Kya main iss family ka hissa nahi hu? Sirf Ruhi ki ma? Kyun Raman...maine aisa kya galti ki ki aap mujhe iss tarah saza de rahe hai?"
Raman couldn't bear meeting her eyes which had thousands of questions, hurt, pain and tears, all of which was given by him.
Ruhi gets angry at Raman and refuses to go. "Agar Ishima nahi aayengi to mujhe bhi kahin nahi jaana" she runs into Ishita's lap and hugs her as if she wants to protect her Ishima's heart from the worldly pain.
Ishita hugs her back tightly, crying looking at Raman who only managed to seem normal but his heart was crying for Ishita.
Ishita wipes her tears, makes Ruhi understand that her Ishima was, is and will always be ther for her princess Ruhi. She tells Ruhi that even her bhaiya and shagun mamma miss her so she should spend time with them. She makes an excuse saying she has too many appointments in clinic so she can't accompany them.
After protesting a lot, Ruhi agrees to go with Raman only for her Ishima's happiness.
Raman takes Ruhi and goes towards his car. Ishita is standing in balcony seeing them. She sees shagun and Adi arrive there. They get into Raman's car. Raman is holding Ruhi's hand as he goes to his car when Ruhi looks up to see Ishita standing and she smiles waving her goodbye.
Ishita wipes her tears and puts a smile only for Ruhi. Raman too looks up at Ishita and as she catches him seeing, he lowers his head and leaves. As they all sit and leave in Raman's car, Ishita breaks down into tears. Romi who was passing by the living room to drink water, sees Ishita crying and goes to console her.
Romi "Bhabhi, plz mat roiye. Kya hua aapko? Firse bhai ne kuch kiya?...kahin shagun...?
Ishita says "Kya farak padta hai Romi. Tumhare bhai samajdhar hai, mature hai. Apne decisions khud le sakte hai. Aur agar unka decision yehi hai...to mujhe wo bhi manzoor hai"
Ishita tells him about Raman going for family picnic with Shagun and kids. "Par theek hai na Romi. Sacchai to hum nahi badal sakte na. Shagun unki pehli wife hai aur Adi aur Ruhi shagun ke bacche hai. Main to iss family ke picture me kahin nahi hu."
Romi had tears in his eyes looking at his bhabhi in pain. He tells her "Nahi Bhabhi, aap shagun ko nahi jaanti ho. Hum jaante hai uski asliyat. Wo kabhi bhai se pyaar hi nahi karti thi. Humesha sirf paison ke peeche padi thi wo. Aur bacche? Bhabhi, Adi ko to shagun ne kya patti padhai hai main nahi jaanta , par Ruhi aapki beti hai. Aur Raman bhai sirf aapke hai."
Ishita denies saying "Rehne do Romi. Mujhe kuch baat nahi karni iss bare mein." as tears escape her eyes.
Romi says "Bhabhi, sambhalo apne aap ko. Aap aise haar nahi maansakti. Bhabhi, sach keh raha hu, Bhai bhi nafrat karte hai shagun se. Agar wo khud shagun se mil rahe hai aur apse ye sab chupa rahe hai, toh shayad bhai bahut badi problem me hai. Uss shagun ne zaroor kuch kiya hai"
These words get Ishita into thinking mode. She rewinds her memory back to the day when they had a heart-to-heart talk on the bench at his friend's party where they promised each other not to hide anything regarding Ruhi or Adi. Then she remembers the hospital scene where he held onto Ishita's hand when he needed support in his pain.
Then she remembers the day she took Adi for shopping while Raman was waiting at Ashok's house.
How he told her he got the proof of the accident and hoe he promised he will send the culprit to jail and meet her at home.
She remembers that from that day, there was change in Raman's behavior towards her. She thinks what could've possibly happened at Ashok's house which changed Raman's behavior suddenly. Why couldn't he get the culprit arrested if he had proof?
Ishita tells Romi "Shayad tum theek keh rahe ho Romi. Ho sakta hai Shagun ne koi gandi chaal chali ho Raman ko phasane ke liye. Lekin kaise pata chalega ki hua kya hua tha uss din? Raman to kuch nahi bolenge."
Romi too gets into thinking as to how to get to the truth. He assures her "Bhabhi, hum koi na koi raasta nikaal lenge don't worry. Aap bhi jake aaram karo. Main kuch sochta hu." Ishita nods and both leave.
Ishita thinks of calling Mihir and asking him as she thinks Raman will never hide anything from Mihir so he might be knowing the whole matter. Ishita calls up Mihir.
Mihir- "Ishita bhabhi, aap? Sab theek to haina?
Ishita- "Haan mihir, wo mujhe tumse kuch poochna tha. Par sach sach jawab dena pls."
Mihir [confused at what's wrong] - "Haan bhabhi, boliye na"
Ishita- "Wo...kya...Raman kisi problem me hai? I mean, aaj kal wo thodi tension me lagte hai. Isliye socha tumse pooch lu. Tumhe to wo sab batate hai na"
Mihri- "Bhabhi, infact main khud aapse ye poochna chahta tha ki Raman bhai ko koi pareshaani to nahi hai."
Ishita gets confused at this. She asks "Ye kya bol rahe ho Mihir?"
Mihir-" Bhabhi, kuch dino se mujhe bhi aisa lag raha hai ki Bhai kuch chupa rahe hai. Wo aaj kal office bhi nahi aate hai. Aaye bhi to Kuch imp kaam bolke chale jaate hai. Aur mera phone bhi nahi uthate hai. Aur aaj kal bahut dukhi aur irritated mood me rehte hai. I'm worried now for him bhabhi!"
Ishita gets worried on knowing this. She thinks Romi is right, Raman might be in some problem due to Shagun. She tells Mihir not to tell Raman that she talked to him. He assures her the same. She tells she will call later and ends the call.
Ishita thinks- Ab mujhe hi sach ka pata lagana hoga. Raman, aapne jo mera vishwas thoda hai, uske liye shayad main kabhi maaf na kar saku aapko. Lekin iss waqt, mujhe aapko iss problem se nikaal na hi padega. Kya shagun unko phasa rahi hai? Ya sach me shagun koi problem me hai?'
