Director's Cut

When we talk abut movies, we mostly think about the actors, how great they were & how we cannot imagine a DDLJ without SRK or HAHK without a Madhuri or Salman. The director for the most part is not given enough credit & it's fair a lot of times as these actors really translate their vision. But can you name one awesome movie where it wouldn't matter who the actor was but it would still be a great movie?! For me most of Anurag's movies are such. Black Friday to me is an exceptional movie which was way above any of the actors essaying the role. You could replace anyone in it & it wouldn't matter. This is not to offend or downplay what the actor's did but just trying to make it about the director & his vision for a change.

Border - any other actors could have taken up this movie it will still be good.

And movies that would have tanked had it not been for the lead actors: Dabangg 1 & 2, Chennai Express, Dhoom 3, JTHJ!!

My all time Fav movie is Page3... It clearly highlights double standard life's of people and how desperation can make a person do things which they never would have done (esp, Konkana's two friends, played by Tara and Sandhya) and Konkana's BF ... Its a bitter reality movie. and best of Madhur Bandarkar , its amazing than Chandani Bar or Fashion

Yeah 3idiots was a great script too & I think the 3 actors were good but I was a bit surprised that Raju hired 30 & 40 year olds to play college kids! But then maybe it wouldn't be such a monstrous hit without Aamir!
