It was the first series for West Indies under their new leader, Ramdin. They can take a lot of positives out of it. Their bowlers were excellent as they always kept them in the game. Benn and Taylor, making comebacks were excellent as they picked up 14 and 11 wickets respectively. Among the batsmen, Brathwaite came into the team for second Test and scored a terrific hundred. He also scored a fine fifty in the first innings of this Test. If they can sort out their batting, West Indies have the bowling to compete in any conditions.

Williamson is the Man of the Match and the Man of the Series for his aggregate of 413 runs.

Williamson: 'The game was in the balance and it was not easy out in the middle, so I am happy with my performance. I just go out there and try to do the basics right. Anytime you get a chance to contribute to the team's win it is going to be pleasant. It is nice to play all three formats and I like playing T20s.'

Ramdin: 'Firstly, well done to Brendon and his team. We came out and fought hard in this match, we can take the positive from that. We have got the talent for the future, Jason Holder came out and showed his class. The New Zealand lower-order kept pushing us and held up one end. That's how cricket goes, hopefully we can improve in the next series. With our batting line-up we thought we can go in with an all-rounder but it didn't work out.'

McCullum: 'The series was outstanding. Credit to Denesh and his men for making it hard for us. We have had some outstanding performances from the guys. Tom Latham has had a good series, as didMark Craig. Williamson keeps improving with each series. Our fast bowlers have been excellent, they have bowled well in overseas conditions as well as at home. You have to keep enjoying each other's success.'
