Is Tauji a bad character? I am confused

I started watching this show recently and I am totally hooked up with it. I wanted to know the one who gives her advice, one with white beard who I have seen once in star plus show.. is he a Antagonist, or as bad as Samrat? What is his history and story in short definition. PLEASE REPLY SOON I AM VERY CURIOUS. Thanks.

Well Tauji is Samrat Uncle, his father older Brother. Apparently Tauji was just like Samrat, he was the one who taught things to Samrat.

However after Tauji wife died, he went on a world tour, and changed into a good man, realizing his behavior was wrong, and he became very modern. Samrat respects his Tauji more than his own father, his family.

At first he looks negative, but he is a good guy who stands up for Urmi, and makes her fight for her rights. At the moment Tauji thinks Samrat can change, but after today's episode, that's gone. Tauji will realise what an animal Samrat is.

Unfortunately I don't know the actor name. Hope this helps.

Recently I started watching this show ...what was shown today was shocking and I had tears in my eyes ..

Tauji should stop acting as if he is Samrat's friend ..What Samrat did today only deserves that he should be arrested, his wife should file for a divorce and a full custody of their child ...This man is a monster and should never be a role model for any kid ...

Tauji and Urmi's father in law should be 100 % behind her to send Samrat in jail and also for her to be free of this animal ...

The actor's name is Anupam Shyam, he has done many shows and movies but you probably remember him as Sajjan Singh on Mann Kee Awaz Pratigya.

The character's name is Garjan Singh Rathod.

Thank you very very much for giving me the background story and explaining me the whole scenario! I was dying with curiosity.

Even I had tears in my eyes while watching yesterday and day after yesterday's episode. I also believe that this incident should be taken seriously and Urmi should fight hard against domestic violence. Enough is enough. Samrat is a monster and nothing in the world can change him into a good character.
