I notice ETT comparison brought up a lot on the forum to refute how other stars have no "starpower". I was looking through the top ten grossing films from 2004 - 2014 and it made me wonder how long his movies are going to dominate at the box office.

ETT... rofl so u r offended by my comment 😆 ... ETT comparison i always bring coz it's Salman's highest grosser with his best records, so what's wrong in it? Some will search for his weakest films, like Jai Ho to bash him, so why not to show them his best?

Salman Khan from 2010 - 2014 has - 5 BlockBusters Movies + 1 Semi-Hit - 6 100 Cr movies back 2 back with 1 year gap in between (2013).

This kind of Record is hard to maintain, Srk trying from Ra.One to CE, finally succeeded with CE.

Aamir Khan has a 4 year syndrome, he will go in exile for 4 years to give 1 best film of his career.

Rest None of the stars are capable of beating Salman Khan... Now if Next 5 films of SRK are BlockBuster back 2 Back, then he will equal Salman's record, but till then Salman will add another 4-5 BlockBusters for sure.

KICK = Trailer / Song response all have seen = Possible BlockBuster

Kabir Khan Film = Post ETT next Salman-Kabir Film, huge hype/expectation.

PRDP = After 20 years, Salman-Sooraj combo coming

No Entry 2 = BlockBuster's sequel

Shimit Ameen film = Another Top director

So he will be dominating BO for next 5 years for sure... 👏

You know ETT's success is very different from other biggies succeeding @ Box Office.

Reasons:

1. ETT was released 5 days before EID during Ramzaan time, so for those 5 days there was no Muslim Audience.

2. Opening day was Holiday, it made biggest 30+ cr day 1 record (also huge 21 cr record was also made by Salman only for BG)

3. Opening Weekend Extended was 100 cr for ETT.

4. Instead of 15th Aug, if this movie would have landed on Direct EID Date - 20 Aug 2012, Imagine the kind of Day 1 it would have collected.

5. It is 2 year old movie, still other than Aamir, no one has been able 2 beat it's 1st day. Also apart from CE/D3, no other film has crossed ETT Lifetime (Forget Krrish 3, controversial)

The reason i use ETT reference for some movies is that ppl compare as if New stars have overtaken Salman, while their films can't even touch 3 days collection of ETT with even Bigger Release scale.
