I think everyone's made some really good points re Raman, his love for his first born, hence his tendency to feel guilty and lash out against Ruhi, Ishita etc. However:
I'm a mother of 2, and whilst I have lovely memories of my 1stborn, when my 2nd child was born, I added those memories too, and love both children equally, both are different, but we love them both for their individuality. I therefore don't buy Raman's 'obsession' with the fond memories he has of Adi's childhood, fair enough, he's missed out the last few years with him, but you don't just sacrifice everyone else's happiness for the sake of a spoiled little s**t.
I know that some time maybe soon, Raman will redeem himself, but what really gets me is how promptly he called the police around when he thought Romi had caused the accident, Romi, his own brother, it was ok for him to be arrested, was it, rather than Shagun, who cried, then Adi cried, so it was like oh, never mind - it won't matter if this affects my relationship with the mother of my daughter!?!
This show still has a long way to go, so we need a lot of patience with some of the characters, i'm not saying ishita's always perfect, but for me, Raman's behaviour the last couple of epis has been pretty awful, and I hope Ishita makes him realise how stupid he's been to keep her in the dark about what really happened, cos he should have trusted her more with the truth, rather than lie to the whole family
For that matter, I'd like to see Romi and the parents ask Raman how he was so quick to call the police on romi, but became so gullible when it came to airhead.

Very good post

You have covered almost everything

His bias towards adi as compared to Ruhi is blatant

Whatever his mental state it does not give him freedom to shout at Ruhi

Well he had option of revealing everything to ishita but choose to hide too that too under instructions from airhead which is pathetic

That would be good to watch when Raman realises how much Importance Ishita has in his own life (irrespective of Ruhi) when she goes back to 'sirf Ruhi ke liye' mode.

What I dont absolutely understand... and what I detested is why he had to check with Shagun for letting Ishita know??? i mean, come on... they are butchering Raman's character. In their struggle to make 'Ishita' into a stronger character, the script writers are weakening Raman's. I may be very crude in saying this, but that line when he was asking Shagun if he could tell Ishita made me think that Shagun was his wife and Ishita the "other woman". Thats how bad I felt about that conversation.

Bold: Aeryn gave a new perspective to this bit in the previous page, and I'll just go with that.

I can see where raman is coming from, but his blind love for adi is destructive. because of adi, he hurts people around him and can't seem to think straight. this looks like contrived drama to me
