Salman has proved that he can make bad scripts work. Imagine people like arjun kapoor doing bodyguard. Not even the ushers would want to watch the film. So credit goes to salman for making shit movies successful.

But my point was Jai Ho was so so so bad that even Salman couldn't save it. So blaming salman is not correct because he actually got the movie 100crores. had any other actor done the movie spare the khans I don't think it would even reach 30-40crores.

Being a superstar (especially India) simply means being a herder of human sheep, sheep that buy anything that's thrown at them. This is nothing to be proud of except for the superstar who has a grip of such brainless people.

EV is something unique and the promotions for it were spot-on. The promos had so much romance and suspense. I think the Awari promo really upped the thriller/suspense quotient. And BW doesn't churn out such genres on a regular basis. I mean remember how well Murder 3 did just b/c of the promos along.

Also, Mohit has a great story telling way with his films. So yeah EV was bound to work.

It's not fair to blame Salman, but if EV would have flopped a bunch of ppl on this forum would jump up and say SidM has no star power or bankability. So whatever metric one wishes to use they can as long it applies to all. SidM isn't at the same level at Salman/SRK yet everyone expects him to do just as well and he does compete with them.

If Salman should not be blamed for the failure of Jai Ho because of its pathetic execution and storyline, then the same way he shouldn't be appreciated or should be given full credit for the success of the forthcoming Kick. Sounds fair to me.
