Urmi's maternal family support

As Samrat will be rightfully be shown going to jail, urmi will have at long last started her battle for justice.
We know that samrat's family members are all spineless and may even go against urmi in her battle, except for tauji.

What I am curious to see is urmi's maayka reacting to this. Most probably, they too, will vilify her and make her look like a culprit. But this time, I want urmi to talk back openly against them, perhaps even leaving her house. Her father and grandmother sent urmi back to that hell in the first place. I don't tust urmi's mother to support her - she too is just as spineless as the rest of them.

What I want to see I surmise making a clean break from both her family and her in laws, taking shaurya with her, leaving with tauji. But that is in an ideal alternate reality, I suppose.

What do you all think?

You wrote exactly what was in my mind! I won't forgive the producer or Zee if they now show Urmi going back to a changed Samrat! Hell NO!!

And as I wrote in another post, Urmi's family is equally responsible for what has happened to her. When parents expect daughters to obediently agree to an arranged match, it's the parents' moral responsibility to ensure that the boy is good and that the daughter is happy with him. After that, when she left Samrat and begged her parents to support her, they forced her to return to that hell and to that devil!! Unforgivable! It's the parents' responsibility to raise the girl they gave birth to, to be a strong, independent girl. Look what they are doing to their second daughter even now.

To me, her parents have wronged her just as much as Samrat.

I hope she makes sure he rots in jail and moves out with her son. I hope she opens her own bakery and lives her life independently, away from both her useless dad and spineless sasural!

Thank you for replying. I agree with you 100%. What kind of family would let their daughter suffer for the sake of society? What's more, they are trying to foist the same fate on Anu! At least that girl has brains and guts enough to withstand her oppressive father and grandmother. I hope that urmi takes a hint and sets out on her own, gradually.

Urmi has the support of tau ji, her sister, and to some extent, her mother. She cannot count on her father in law and mother in law or brother or sister in law, they are, ultimately, samrats family and have been under his thumb for too long, or fear society too much.

The sad fact in our society is that girls who are married off or even in a love marriage who compromise too much in their lives have no home of their own - they grow up in their FATHER'S home, are married off to their HUSBAND'S home, when their kids grow up they go and live in most probably their SON'S HOME.

Urmi has no choices. She can't support herself, at least not right away, since she hasn't developed any career experience since being married. She probably doesn't have any financial savings, either, as her money is dependent on and managed by Samrat. Urmi is a strong and capable woman, but she can't stand up on her own two feet without having a safe place to start from. I just don't see where she can get that. Her father has already shown that he is not willing to help her.

You said it!! The one responsible for her conditions are her maternal family. I was so shocked that they sent her back to a man who had raised his hand... that I stopped watching for a while.
Basically her father was an egocentric man who only thot of his position in society. Her grandma is just stupid. Nothing to say about her. Her father implied that he would die if she does not go back. And he sent her back to the abusive husband , with hands folded and with a grand apology!!!

He did not mind that he was sending his daughter to have her soul killed! The mum just stood and watched.. the brother tried but not hard enough.

I am eagerly waiting for their reaction when they see her abused body... If they were to still send her back ... I am going to say that Indian families are spineless as protector of women. But if they are to support her, I will sigh with relief... that does not mean that I will ever forgive the father for letting his daughter down. I remember that she begged and cried... and like Samrat and his mother , they danced upon her tears.

Not forgivable. We need to see Urmi telling her father off for not loving her enough!

I hope the uneducated bahu with the big heart educates them.

Or maybe Tau JI could help her? I mean before he came to Urmi's place he must've lived somewhere.

I agree with you TM👍🏼
Urmi's parents disgust me. I can;t see how they could send her back to such a vile man, and I am sure this time they will not support her, especially her Father and Grandmother. yes her Mother is spineless.

What annoys me about the whole scene is why couldn't Urmi take something in the room and hit Samrat, defend herself, fight back. I can't understand when some women are hit by men, they never think to hit them back with some object, since they cannot physically outmatch them.

What I can never understand is how Urmi claimed she still cared about Samrat after all the previous abuse and worse when he tried to make her look like an adulterer.

Thank you.

Urmi needs to first and foremost tell her maternal family the pain she had to go through because of their actions.

I am sure that upon seeing her state, some rebellion will be stirred in the form of her sister and brother. At the moment, urmi needs every helping hand she can get. As another poster mentioned, she has no financial stability or job experience. She needs people she can count on, independent people, like tauji, who should rise to the occasion regardless of samrat being his nephew.

Ene if it means severing ties with members of both families, urmi should get herself and her son out. The boy is still young and impressionable. He may resent Urmi for separating from her family, but with age, he would come to understand, especially with figures such as tau ji in his life.

If nothing else, tauji should simply remove urmi from that toxic life himself. It would not do to leave her halfway on her path to freedom.

I think at this point, her Grandmother and father along with Urmis maternal family will support her. It's one thing that parents ask their daughter to compromise but when they see her physical condition; they will support her.
