Heya Guys, kaise ho?
Ok well, we meaning the bollywood developmengt team believe that there should definitely be a topic made to discuss the IIFA weekend as it is in a way the Oscars for Bollywood and so i've opened this topic. This time round in 2007 the awards are to held in Yorkshire, United Kingdom. There will be an IIFA weekend with cricket matches, press conferences and then the most important awards.
The last time the IIFA awards were held in the UK was in the Year 2000 where they were in teh millenium dome. It was the best IIFA awars show i believe with international stars like Jackie Chan and Kylie Minouge performing. Also it was the year of some of my favs like Hum dil de Chukhe sanam and Biwi No 1. Still, back to 2007 now...
This year the awards will be great as they will show the real first appearance of Abhishek and Aishwarya as a married couple after their one month long honeymoon in France. post the nominies for the popular categories of the awards. I'll post the winners soon. So here are nominees below:

The glittering ceremony, which began on Saturday night and ended early on Sunday, was interspersed with electrifying performances from Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Govinda and Shilpa Shetty, and was watched by thousands of expatriates from all over Britain.
While Rani Mukerjee won Best Actress trophy for her performance in 'Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna', the Best Actor award went to Hrithik Roshan for his superhero act in 'Krrish'. Other major winners included Raj Kumar Hirani as Best Director and Arshad Warsi as Best Supporting Actor for 'Lage Raho Munnabhai.'
