The tradition was that if a man and a woman were caught under a mistletoe, they had to kiss. It was common around here, in fact, you could walk into any restaurant or anywhere, and find a mistletoe hanging above the door.

The crowd looked at us expectantly, waiting for the kiss. I was sure though, that this probably wasn't the first kiss that had happened this evening.

I turn to face Raghu and find him much closer to me then he was less than a minute ago. He leans in and kissed my lips softly.

The entire crowd burst out into whistles and applauds. I could feel a little bit of the heat rising up to my cheeks as we parted.

This was our second kiss.

After that, we were let in and the party had begun. There was a wave of red and white in the entire club and lots of people were dancing. It was just how you'd expect any party to be around here.

"Antara, let's go dance," Riya says, tugging on my arm. So we headed to the dance floor and danced with everyone for a bit.

I excused myself and left to get a drink. I asked for a soda at the bar and while I was waiting, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Hey beautiful."

It was Krrish.

"Krrish! How are you?" I said, giving him a hug. "I'm well. Hey look. There's your drink," he says, pointing behind me.

I smiled and picked it up. "So any special plans for New Years?" he asks. "No, I'm going home tomorrow morning and spending the rest of the winter break with the family. But I think Mom and Dad were planning on having a party. I'm not sure. But if they are, I'll text you," I reply.

"Yeah of course. I'd love to come. By the way, that's Riya over there, right?" he asked pointing to the dance floor.

"Yup," I say and take a sip of my drink. It tasted weird. "Are you sure this is a coke?" I turn around and ask the bartender. "Yes ma'am," he replies.

I eyed the drink one more time. I was sure there was something in it. I put it back down on the counter.

"What happened? You don't like the drink?" Krrish asks. "It just tastes really weird."

"Hm. Well I'm going to dance, wanna join me?"

"No. Not right now. Maybe later."

"Alright, I'll catch you later."

"See ya."

I turn around and order another drink. After taking a sip of that, I just figured that the coke here was just weird but I finished it anyways because I was thirsty.

I got up and felt a little dizzy. Whoa. That drink probably wasn't such a good idea.

"Antara!"

I felt a pair of arms grip my waist as I tumbled over my heels.

"Uh oh," I said and let out a small giggle. "You're too sweet Raghu. But you know what..."

Some shiny lights caught my attention, distracting me from Raghu.

"Antara, are you okay?"

"Of course I'm fine. Mujhe kya hoga?"

"You're obviously not okay. I'm going to take you home."

"But I don't wanna go home," I say, making a puppy face.

"Antara we're going home. Come," he says, taking one of my hands in to his and keeping the other on my waist.

I realized that my puppy face wouldn't work and that Raghu was much stronger than me. I unwillingly went with him.

"Raghu. Raaghu. Raaaghuuu. "

"What happened Antara?" he asks.

"I don't know. My tummy doesn't feel too good."

"Oh God. Antara. Please don't puke in my car. Please."

"Okay."

"Good and see, we're at your apartment now. Let's get you in bed."

"I'm a little teapot... Raghu what comes next?" I ask him as he opens the door.

"Short and spout," he says while picking me up.

I rest my head against his shoulder and sing the rest of the rhyme.

"Yes Antara, you're a teapot. So Miss. Teapot, where are the keys to your apartment?"

"In the teapot," I reply and laugh.

He unlocks the door and takes me in to my room, carefully placing me on the bed. He takes off my shoes and covers me with the blanket.

"You should sleep. Good night."

As he turns to leave, I grab his hand and pull him back.

"You can't leave."

"Why?"

"I don't know. I don't want you too."

He smiled.

"Have I ever told you that you look cute when you smile?" I say poking his cheek.

"Yes you have. Now sleep. I'm right here," he says.

"First you have to sing me that song. The full one. Please?"

He sighs. "Okay. Only if you promise to sleep."

"Promise. Now sing."

I looked at Raghu, a peaceful silence building in the room.

"Raghu," I say breaking the silence. "Do you love me?"
