Right now one serial that I really enjoy watching is Ek Haseena thi. The serial is quite different from other serials. Of course we have bid adieu to saas bahu wali serials and now the fresh trend is to have a love story in serials. But EHT is different in the sense it does not have love as its main theme. The story is different and belongs to the genre of revenge or settling scores of the wrong doers. 😛
The best part of the serial is its wonderful screenplay which makes every episode interesting and the speed is maintained at a steady pace. There are no unwanted twists and turns which every serial thinks important to boost its trp. EHT has a clear cut story and so the screenplay is very very convincing and gripping.
The protagonist Durga played by Sanjeeda Sheikh is very impressive. She keeps a straight face and gives a very subtle performance as a woman who avenges the wrong done to her sister which had resulted in the death of her parents and her also mentally devastated her sister.
Sanjeeda Sheikh's performance is outstanding especially when she wears those innocuous smiles after playing mischief whenever it is necessary. 😆
The way she goes around bullying Shouriya Goenka is very interesting to watch.
The next person who deserves special mention is Simone Singh who makes her appearance as the inimitable Sakshi Goenka who has a terrible weakness for her only son and who goes to any extent to cover up all his misdeeds thereby making him a spoiled brat.😊
Simone's dressing sense deserves to be specially mentioned because it is just classy. Her designer wear sarees and her accessories and jewelry all make a definite style statement.
Simone's dialogue delivery and her body language are really exemplary. Especially she uses her eyebrows and eyes do most of the talking when she is not uttering her dialogues.👏
On the whole it is a treat to watch two women Sanjeeda and Simone competing with each other in EHT.
A good watch and hope they maintain it with the same tempo.
