After long gap, full blown unapologetic comedy ''Humshakals'' releasing today. Film has mega star cast and lavish budget which have given director Sajid Khan another chance to redeem himself after debacle of ''Himmatwala''.
Film released today across 3200 screens and that in itself will ensure good opening day number no matter what is the verdict. But the real verdict from audience was supposed to be out on Saturday and now its clear that film has some sort of acceptance.
Film collected 12.50 cr nett on day one which was good but not great considering release size. But film surprised a large chunk of critics and some section of audience with stable number on day two. Film collected 12.59 cr nett on day two which was great.
Film started well on Sunday and barring a small fall in metros in late evening shows (which is a norm these days due to working Monday), film scored very good numbers across the board. As per early trends, film should collect close to 14.80-15 cr nett on Sunday and this number can go up depending upon late night shows in places like Bangalore, Gurgaon and Mumbai.
Film has collected close to 39.89 cr nett in 3 days which is very good figure and now good weekdays can take this to hit zone. Film is on the way to score 58-60 cr nett week which is on similar lines what we predicted 3 days back in our box office prediction. Tomorrow film will face big Monday test.
Film also collected close to 1.6 million dollar in overseas market which is fantastic. Film can collect upto 1.8-2 million dollar over weekend in overseas market by the time final report will come in.
