Hands down, i still havent watched it again.

I never cried so much , more than the fact that they didnt get together..it was depressing how much Salman went through in that prison/mental facility..and how he couldnt get out even after he was sane.

And the worse, when he finally got out..it was too late..i m getting depressed just thinking about it.

after that Pinjar, Urmila..just outstanding, and story was too real and depressing😒

Oh, yes!!! Tere Naam and Devdas too...

But my choice is Sadma make me sob simply because it is incomplete . I can even understand why the parents wanted to forget about the time their daughter spent away from them and not wanting to know what happened. But it is most tragic to me because the Sri character (I don't remember her name) will never know how much Somu (the character played by Kamal) loved her. I remember the name of this character because it embodies pure, unconditional love. The way he runs about those hills, falling and what he does at the train station to make her remember. I would roll my eyes at any other movie because it can be rather syrupy, but it always makes me sob like a fool because he is trying so hard to make her remember. She most probably had a very nice life, married someone rich but she would never know a pure, unconditional love like Somu's who loved her at her most vulnerable and that is why Sadma is most tragic to me.

beautifully explained. 👍🏼
agree buddy, sadma had many under current emotions which make it so profoundly depressing viewing experience.

here i like to add another such movie, its a hollywood film.
brokeback mountain.
i am neutral towards homosexuals...but the movie tug str8 in heart.

i could not take out brokeback mountain from my system for a few days. their love that has developed in those secluded beautiful mountains, their making outs in the forest, in motels when they r married...and oh..
the last scene... 😭... when jack came to his dead boyfriend,s room and watches his stuff from his childhood in the room in a silent afternoon... opening the wardrobe and saw his shirt inside his friends shirt that he wrapped with so much of passionate love for him, still makes me very deeply sad.

also no matter how much people label titanic as cheesy, but its 2 scenes still haunts me.

1. when rose started whistling nonstop so that rescue team can see her, only bcoz she promised with jack before his death that she will live an entire life.

2. very last scene when a very old rose die in her sleep, and before her death, she started having flashes of 80 years old titanic incident, watching all the pessengers that she saw in her journey, meeting jack at the stairs near the clock where all the pessengers gathered and started clapping when they hug each other.
that very last scene still haunts me. 😭😭

It was just a toddler!

yeah, aakhri khhat was a beautiful movie.
i am surprised how much advance hindi cinema was in scripts and stories, even hollywood film (though it was a comedy) baby,s dayout that has the same innovative concept of a kid roaming in the city alone throughout the movie came like 30 years later to aakhri khhat.

the very last scene, where that poor little kid saw a statue of a woman that resembles with his dead mother, and he hugged the statue thinking that it is actually his mother, just simply take out my heart and filled it with pain.

amazing movie.

it has to be sadma, i felt horribly sad, upset, i dont know what, but clueless at the climax, why the f**k did he treat the girl :( .. kamal hassan was outstanding, salute. Sridevi as usual, beautiful and classy.
Anytime sadma over the random depressing films.
Other than sadma, from the list guzarish and zakhm..
