So jehangir's both sides of family had issues with respect to mental health
i guess this strain of mental health showed itself in aurangzeb the most in later years of his life going by his actions of killing/jailing/punishing own family for slight offences as per him where others never found any offence.

This might most probably because of marrying within the immediate family.

<font size="2">Once, Emperor Akbar was sitting in a mosque, reading the Koran(which he knew by heart). He posted his guards before the mosque because he wanted absolute peace. At some point during his reading he glanced out the window and saw a young woman running desperately back and forth. She seemed to be looking for someone or something.</font>

<font size="2">Suddenly, this young woman entered the mosque and began to search. In her desperation to find whatever she was looking for, she did not see the emperor and tripped over him as he sat, bumping him so hard that the Koran flew out of his hands and landed on the floor. The women who bumped into him immediately got up and ran off outside the mosque without telling anything. </font>

<font size="2">Akbar was furious that someone first bumped into himand did not bother even to apologise that he called for his guards: "Bring me that young woman!" </font>

<font size="2">When the guards brought the woman before him, Akbar was furious: "Before I have you hanged, tell me what you were so preoccupied with that you did not even notice when you ran over me. "

</font>

<font size="2">The woman shook with fear to hear her death sentence. But then she collected herself and said: "My dear emperor, please excuse me, but I was searching for my lover. I had heard that he had come to town, and because I love him, I was so fixed on finding him that I was looking everywhere without seeing anyone or anything else. I did not mean to offend you."</font>

<font size="2">This made Akbar even angrier: "How dare you disturb me while I am reading the holy Koran! Looking for a lover! Hang her immediately!"</font>

<font size="2">Since she had nothing left to lose, the young woman spoke out: "Dear emperor, may I ask you whether you were actually reading the Koran? If I am so attentive to searching for my lover"who is, after all, merely a mortal man"that I cannot see anything or anyone else, how much more fixed would you be if you were actually searching for the supreme lover, God? If you had actually been reading the Koran, you would not have noticed my tripping over you. So I think you were not actually reading but were only making a show of it!"

Akbar saw the woman's point and set her free.</font>

Siblings of Akbar the Great
1) Al-Aman by Haji Begum b 1528 died as infant
Empress Haji Begum/Bega Begum daughter of Yadgar Beg maternal uncle of Humayun married in 1527, was 19 years old when she became empress of hindstan, taken prisoner by sher shah suri in 1539 but returned back to humayun, built the humayun tomb in dehi and was buried next to her husband
2) Bakshi Bano Begum by Gunwar Bibi b 1540
-Was taken prisoner along with baby Akbar by uncle Askari between 1543-1545, married Mirza Ibrahim a direct descendant of Alexander the great at age of 10, husband died in battle in 1560 and was widowed at age of 20. Was given in marriage to Mirza Sharifuddin by Akbar same year.
3) Jalaluddin Muhammad akbar by Hamida Banu 1542-1560
4) Aqiqah Begum by Haji Begum b 1539-1547 died at age of 8
Princess Aqiqah begum was attacked by sher shah suri's forces with her mother Haji Begum on 27th June 1539 when they came to join humayun from agra fort, was lost in the attack or kidnapped and never recovered. Humayun regretted all life for losing his daughter and searched her extensively but she was not found and he always regretted getting her to chausa, bengal
5) Baqt al-nissa begum (Farq-al-nissa) by Najib al nissa begum 1550-1608
6) Mirza Muhammad Hakim by Mah chuchak 1553-1585 (Ruler of Afghanistan and Tajikistan provinces)
- Attacked Punjab in 1581 with intention of becoming emperor of hindustand but did not want to fight his brother and left to kabul. Akbar defeated him in Kabul and restored him as ruler and he ruled till 1585 after death Akbar took over the reign.
-His mother was killed by Shah Abl' Maali in an apparent bid to take over the throne of Badakhshan and Kabul. Mirza Suliaman- the father of Mirza Ibrahim husband of Bakshi Banu attacked Badakhshan and defeated Shah Abl'Maali and hanged him for his crimes and married his daugthter to Mirza Hakim and appointed Umed Ali to help rule the kingdom as Akbra's brother Mirza Hakim was very young 10 years old. Bakshi Banu husband Mirza Ibrahim died in this battle in 1560.
u said Humayun had 2 sons n 2 daughters who survived. If one is Akbar, who was the other one?
The ones marked in bold above survived
i suppose one by name Kamran whom Akbar got killed was his cousin.
Humayun had 3 step brothers Kamran, Askari and Hindal Mirza
Hindal Mirza got killed trying to fight Kamran and Askari while trying to get Kabul taqt back to Humayun. He was youngest son. He only saved Akbar and Maham from the kabul fort when they were hanged in front of bullets/bombs etc
Kamran and Askari were real brothers not step brothers. Kamran and Humayun fought 3 wars for Kabul and final war he fled. But was captured and sent to Mecca as punishment and bblinded by Humayun. Kamran's son was killed by Akbar in prison. Yes Kamran's son was Akbar's cousin brother. Kamran is Akbar's uncle not cousin brother.
Was he Ruqs brother?
Ruqaiah had no brothers. She is only child of hindal mirza and her mom died when she was small and father too died in war when she was 5-6 years old. She has no immediate family and only aunts and cousins like Akbar, Salima, Mirza and Gulbadan
Who were the 2 sisters?
Name of both sister above
This new entry shehnaaz? she is the step sister.
Akbar had no step sister called Shenaz. Shenaz mother who is shown here as Chand begum was captured by Sher Shah Suri in a night raid and she was never returned. She was 7 months pregnant. Most probably she was killed and the baby died in her womb. All this is fiction not real history. Maham never put Chand begum in jail. Do you think Humayun, Hindal shall allow such things to happen as they were incharge then? Maham came into Humayun life after all these incidents.
Both the begums of H umayun died natural death?
Which both begums? He had many begums.
Though Delhi n agra r not far away, why there has always been mention of Delhi takth n Agra taqth by Sharifuddin n co.?Will u pl. clarify,
This is all fictional. Usually the Delhi ruler was considered ruler of hindustan from ages. Humayun ruled from Delhi but Akbar changed it to Agra. Its all the same. Agra became capital of Mughal empire. There was no seperate taqts neither did Humayun leave any will to make his daughter(fictional daughter) as empress. This is all fictional story.

Thank u very much fr that much needed explanation.😃 by 2 begums i meant only ones I knewšŸ˜† Anyway I got the answer, abt Chand begum, might not be a natural death.😲 Bega begum on the other hand might not hv had any such confrontation. Thanks. šŸ˜›
