I would like to partially disagree with you.
As you stated the two scenarios were different here, I would like to add that the two scenes were totally in different context.
For Asad it was his realization of depth of love he has for Zoya, he was always denying his feelings for Zoya but this situation brought out all his emotions, so it was intense and beautifully acted by KSG.
For Ahil it was humanity and moral responsibility of helping out a the girl that too the girl who is a part of his house, when he was the hope of that girl to save her life. It's only after mouth to mouth CPR, he looked confused, shocked, he kept staring at Sanam. KVB's acting was wonderful which actually gave out exactly Ahil's feelings. He was so subtle and natural.
Asad had tears of realization, guilt and desperation of losing Zoya forever.
Ahil had perspiration due to frustration and helplessness of not being able to save the girl who trusted him to save her life.
For AsYa it was the realization of love, turning point of a love story, for SaHil it's the beginning of a love story.
The two scenes context was entirely different though set up was similar.
And all 3 actors portrayed the scenes wonderfully.

Fanraya, you understood my POV completely..absolutely. That silent attraction, caring, concern..hasn't matured yet for Saahil as it had for Asya when this intense scene was placed.
I have been a diehard fan of KVB since Kasauti Zindagi Ki and i feel he is not being given the chance to do justice to his character.

Why comparing two scenes, are they apple to apple?

Like you said, there was lot of interaction between AsYa and they were at some level of understanding and there was strong attraction and exchange of strong words, I don't think that scene would have been impactful if wasn't for "pata nahi kab aapse picha chootega". They were both in it from beginning from journey Bhopal to Mangalpur alone..
Would you want same scene? Same scenario, then we might have complained where is creativity..
This scene wasn't accident or incident, it was planned and well played. But this might be starting of something which in AsYa case should have been to, instead all we saw MU and Tanveer..
And you are wrong when you say the focus was on them, it was part of PV and QH MS, the two stories were mashed up together. Take out Yash Aarti part, that might have fizzled out too..
I agree that scene was quick and less impactful but then do we want to see Tanveer and her bullies, bullying Sanam and dragging? I wasn't, so ok with how it played out. SJ and KVB did they part with full sincerity like SJ and KSG did. Story has to move on and I am happy that it is..
Also such scenes are easy on eyes when villain is third party someone unknown or I would say unbiased, Mamu Vs Tanveer, hatred level for Manu was none with viewers and with Tanveer it already shoot off the roof..

Ummm...just want to clarify...I DID mention in my post that they ARE NOT the same scene or scenario...and there was no comparison about that.

My only desire was to see a bit more interaction between Saahil so that audiences got the urge to root for them more. It just seemed a bit rushed.

When it comes to focus...during the ASYA burial scene...it was two separate series...QH fans weren't even concentrating on PV arc...also the PV characters were in the QH scene with Asya.

I am really uncomfortable about your tone of accusation...I am not wrong in voicing my opinion. I just pointed my POV about the characters. Chill... 😊

Loved your post...thank you for making some sense of the scene. I mean SJ/KVB look so good together...I would love them in any scene...but randomly placed intense scenes are a bit hard to swallow. However, your justification makes a lot of sense.
Thanks :D

i have not seen the scene or the episodes in their entirety...I got a only a few glimpses...
The problem with Indian writers is they take a good idea and beat it to death. What worked for AsYa will not work with every jodi. If you want the lead male character to care about the female character, come up with an original idea.

The QH1 behavioral scene worked well with the story line at the time the show was written. Asad never cared for Zoya and it was only after she was buried alive did he realize his true feelings for her...the scene came at an interesting time and was a fresh and original idea. Executed beautifully by Karan Singh Grover and the actors from Punar Vivah, the scene had a huge impact on all of us and was also reflected in the ratings.

AsYa magic was a combination of the writers and the actors along with some original ideas. i feel disappointed for the actors and the characters of this new QH2 who are not going to be given a chance to be their "own" jodi and will always be compared with the QH1 team. The writers have not helped by forcing theme re-enact scenes of the old show - even with slight variations - here's hoping for some improvement.
