Apparently, Anushka Sharma is playing a double-role in Bombay Velvet. That she plays a jazz singer of the 50s is by now a well known fact. But that Anushka has a double role, is not known to many. Pinkvilla tells you that of Anushka's two roles, one is that of the glamorous, singing heartthrob of the Fifties Mumbai. The second role is that of a common girl, one with everyday struggles.
Anushka's onscreen rival in this film is Raveena Tandon, who plays another popular Jazz singer who is fast losing her crown to the rising Anushka.
Whispers in Bollywood corridors suggested that Anushka Sharma had done a lip job to 'fit into' this double role. Anushka had clarified it as a enhancement treatment. What is true? and was it for the role? Only time will tell.
Having said that, we are excited to check out Anushka in her avatars in Peekay and BV. Who knows, she might turn out to be the Deepika Padukone of 2014!
