A/N: The following chapters have occurred in the past... No proof reading has taken place (Man it's 2:30am, I don't proof read anyways😆) *Chapter One~ Jab We Met*

(Dog barks in the background)

Damn! I need more sleep! This stupid alarm, can it not just shut itself for a few more minutes! And why is it a freaking dog dark? Even the alarm has to be special! I reached out to slap the snooze button on the alarm, yet the persistent thing continued the violent noise pollution on my sensitive ears!

"Aargh!" I cursed as I nearly threw the alarm at the door! Sleep is a virtue alright!

"Sanyukta! You are still asleep? Get up sleeping beauty, time for uni!" I heard some mumbled words! No-one seems to understand my affinity for sleep around here, I thought as I debated on whether to get up or to stay in the warm bed for that extra bit longer!

"You are going to be late to your FIRST day of uni baccha! NOW WAKE UP" Ankit yelled while yanking the soft blanket away from me! Aaar, this devil brother of mine needs to be taught never to meddle with a sleep deprived girl!

"I am getting up... two more..."

My ramblings came to an absolute end when I felt my face wet with cold water! Gee, what a pleasant start to the day brother, I fumed at the laughing idiot in front of me! Who would have said that he was my older brother, he has the brains of a six year I snorted, as I aimed a tennis ball at his big head!*~*

"Shit!!! I am sooo late!" I ran to the car frantically while trying to hurriedly push all these damned books in to my bag! The struggles in my life, I thought as Ankit made a mad-man's rush to the train station to drop me off

"Here!" he said offering me some breakfast that I had very carefully avoided until now! Milk! "I already had it" I said fidgeting with my train ticket, wondering whether or not I would make it on time!

"Don't lie! I saw you drain your milk down the sink! Mother may have not seem it, but I am too good for these things!" he said proudly only to swear at the truck driver who had rashly pulled up in front of us.

"Bravo! Would you like a medal for your discoveries?"

"Actually that would be good! No-one seems to appreciate my chauffeuring skills lately!" he mocked a sigh and signalled me to open the car drawer.

"Aaah!!! I love you bhaaii!!! YES! You finally got it for me!!!" and before he knew it and the delicious little red velvet cupcake in front of me was demolished by the one and only! Now that deserved a medal!

"Okay now! Be good and wipe some of that cream of your face!" I heard Ankit yell as I frantically ran to the train stop hoping and praying that I could catch the next train to the city!

"Pleaasseee! Let me be on time" I pleaded to no-one in particular! Bad habit number 12638, talking to one-self during times of trouble! Yep, Check!

Oh Shit! I thought as I saw the train rapidly approaching the station! Bhaaag!

"Oh Thank God!" I exclaimed as I realised the guy in front of me had managed to hold the train door open for me! Man, so damn unfit, I thought as I tried to slow down the accelerating heart rate! Lowers cholesterol, but damn, releases foul odours in return!

"Why are you thanking the Gods! You should be thanking me for holding the door open for you!" said the guy, in front of me! Something about his tone hadn't set the best of all impressions on me!

Faking a small laugh, I managed to say, "Thank you for holding the door open for me! It was greatly appreciated!"

"Actually it would be greatly appreciated if you manage to take your foot off mine! You aren't exactly, you know!" Talk about having a foot-in-mouth syndrome! This boy could give Sonam Kapoor a helluva competition in this genre!

I saw his smirk get wider by the passing nano-second! I never knew there existed such people that could actually repulse others in frame of seconds! Stomping on his foot with all my pressure, I managed a fake smile and said a very sugary "Sorry" before fleeing the sight of him!

And that irritating smirk! The nerve of this random guy! What a brilliant start to the year, I thought as I failed to find any seats on the overtly crowded train, making the journey of 40 minutes feel like light years away!

Great! Could it get any worse?

"Do you think they will let me in?" I asked to no-one in particular!

Looks like they have already started the lab! Great job Sanyukta! Late on the first day of university and now you can welcome those "who is she and why is she so late?" stares from all your fellow classmates. Greaaat! I hung my head in frustration as I tried to sneakily get to my chair without much ruckus!

"You know talking to yourself is a sign of a mental disorder" came the snide remark from a typically amused someone to my left! Before I could even offer a politely fitting reply to his innocent observation, he continued to say, "You do know that is the first year medicine practical and not some wishy-washy arts workshop!" giving way to a smirk that instantly irked my brain of brains

Brain of Brains? Well, if there can be a heart of hearts... So there can be a brain of brains!

Taking my silence for a conformation to his theory, the male version of Sonam Kapoor, I had met on the train continued, "The Arts building is two blocks away! Rightfully where you belong if I may add"

To say that I wanted to flex my tiny muscles and punch the day lights out of this stranger would be an understatement! That "I-am-too-good-for-this-s*it" smirk was really pushing testing my dwindling patience levels!

"Actually noticing your affinity for melodrama and a futile attempt at acting, you must surely be a Drama student! Well I think you are mistaken, I am a first year medicine student and the Drama Department, is on the opposite! Here, let me offer you a map!

"Last time I checked I taught medical students, not imbeciles who show up late, distract the whole class and ignore the existence of their demonstrator!" came the stern comment from the very irritated looking demonstrator standing right in front of us.

"Randhir Singh Shekhawat meet your partner Sanyukta Aggrawal." The demonstrator pointed to the guy standing to my left and left us to stand gawking at each other.

Going by the look in his eye, I was sure that there was a roller coaster ahead! His chocolate brown eyes seemed to have a life to their own, on the train they were laughing of amusement. Though right now, they were portraying a mixture of emotions that were well beyond my sentimental intellect! Giving him a final glare, I walked off to the bench that would be shared by us! Greaaat!

"Hi! Sanyukta right?" came the friendly voice from the guy sitting on my right! "Yes... guess the whole class knows now right?" I said trying to keep my sarcasm levels to a minimum! Letting out a chuckle, he extended his hand and said, "Parth Kashyap!" Firmly shaking his hand, Parth introduced himself to Mr Randhir Sadu-Sadyal Singh Shekawat! After all the name should reflect the personality as well!

"How come you have a tad of an accent Randhir?" Parth asked out of curiosity. Amongst all his pessimistic remarks, I never noticed the faint but noticeable American accent. "Actually I am an exchange student from America!" Well-well-well, now I understand where the oh-so-prevalent cockiness comes from I thought as I blanked out from the conversation and focused on arranging my belongings on the table instead

A sudden exclamation from Parth shook me out of my reverie, as I shot up head up and asked him the reason for the excitement! "Sanyukta! Randhir is the sole heir to the automobile giants SS Companies'!

Not even knowing the E' of engineering systems, I just stared blankly at the guys in front of me waiting for an explanation

"Girls! What do you know about the world anyways! I was right, you should be in Arts!" came the arrogant reply from d*ckhead. Yes that was his new name d*ckhead'

Before I could show d*ckhead his place, Parth interrupted and explained that Randhir's family owns a chain of automobile factories and consequently very influecial! I was not paying much attention to Parth's knowledge, I was more caught up in the way d*ckhead was smirking... This time something about his smirk didn't feel like right!

He was not showing off... Whatever! So he is a rich little spoilt brat! Why is that failing to surprise me?!

"So what Parth?! This is not some engineering course; this is Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, not some machines and their useless parts!" I snorted seeing the colour drain from Randhir's face

A wolf whistle listened the bustling room as I looked up to find Clive (the demonstrator) waiting for us to quieten down... "We will be performing a basic chemistry experiment today! You will have to finish this in less than an hour and you will have the reports submitted to me by the hour itself" Looking around the room one final time, he finished by saying "what are you waiting for? Your time started 5 mins ago!"

"Seriously? We are doing a basic chemistry experiment! I cannot believe this!" This obnoxious little self obsessed d*ckhead again opened his good for nothing mouth! Why is he intent on being such aaa"

"And here I thought I was at a superlative university""Oh my God, why on Earth is his mouth still open?! Really, out of these people I had to be paired with him! Him?! And that too for quite a few years to come, by the looks of things! Great! Better invest in some good quality ear-buds Sanyukta!

"Listen Mr Whatever your name is, if you have such immense problems with the layout of this course, why don't you just go back to where you came from? If you haven't noticed you are the only one that is ranting you're a*s off! So please shut that irritating mouth of yours and let us focus!"

"Your co-operation will be really much appreciated" I said in a whole breath, managing to predominantly change my tone from sarcasm to that of "politeness"

Taking a deep breath and getting a few appreciating smiles in return, I turned to the burette in front of me... I never knew I could actively hate a person in such a short time frame!

"So Madam has attitude huh? Listen you Farzi, you can count yourself lucky to be my partner, now don't show me attitude and go get me the concentrated solution! NOW" came his authoritative tone!

For a second, I thought I was being judgmental! But Thank You lab partner for approving me right as always! Why does he have to be my' partner! Why Oh Why God? Did I not give up chocolates for long enough? Get a grip girl, this boy needs to be taught a lesson that NO-ONE' talks to Sanyukta Agrrawal like this and gets away with it!

"Oh Sure! Why not!?" I managed a voice that was dripping from enough sugar that could make anyone a diabetic!

"Here! Oops! I am soo sorry!" I said as I accidentally dropped concentrated hydrochloric solution on his shoes.

To say that the sight before me had frightened me would be an understatement! I mean he looked like he was going to transform in to a nasty dementor to suck all the life, all the joy out of my life. But I wasn't going to back out anytime soon!

"See I was right! You should opt for a drama course instead! You nostrils flare every well when you are angry! Such an immense loss to the art of theatre!" I said and turned away to leave... But not before the final stab, "By the way, I am not that foolish to drop HCl on your shoes, it's just water! Unlike some people I haven't forget my mannerisms!"

That felt good, I thought to myself as I walked out of the lab, not before submitting the report, leaving the d*ckhead to fume to himself! I wouldn't be surprised if the lab was burnt down by now! Daddy's rich little son can afford such luxuries, I thought as I made a dash for the train to my part time job!~*~

A/N: Those of you that know me, well you know how Bollywood filmy I can get... That is why the title is so random and I intend on making the title random on every chapter 😆
