Maala is not someone you can forgive or identify with - but you do want her to be redeemed so that peace can return to her. What she did today is cowardly but often even cowardice needs courage. And Maala did show it. She will always be a jute patch on a silk cloth , maybe a weakling or maybe a tested woman who succumbed to the forbidden fruit. But cowardice only means lack of valour in the heart , its never a measure of honesty of feelings.
Paro has filled all the voids in Rudra's life except that acidic after taste that is still waiting for the nectar of forgiveness , peace and reconciliation. Today, when Rudra uttered 'Maa Sa' in his slumber when Maala ruffled his hair, Maala turned but Paro heard Rudra in her sleep and patted him back to sleep. Maala saw it and somewhere she was happy that Paro may not have replaced Maala but she is a compensation that almost beats the original.
Rudra's and Paro's Aangan romance can only be seen, savoured and smiled about. It rolled desire. passion, romance and all the shades of a man-woman relationship in a very suggestive way. But its okay. Desire is a component of love.
I don't side with Mohini but i can see where she is coming from. And people like her do exist. They never forgive, they never forget. They torture and kill their enemies and embalm their bodies to kill them again and again. They keep the septic alive and no, they never ever forget how you made them feel. The crown of the queen, the clout over the haweli and POWER is what has kept Mohini from falling apart due to low self esteem and rejection. She really has nothing else to hold her together - not even her husband or her kids. She's a ruin who has to live in the delusion that she is Louvre of Paris.
