Nice and empty minds.. just the kinds I like..Thank you Indi di.. Me ha..ha..happy singh now... And those highs, lows and trills in the piano makes the song so lovely for me.. so happy you noticed that..
That sound mixing at the end.. was more necessity is the mother of invention kind of thing.. the song had some dialogues that I needed to cut off.. and so I turned down the music volume and luckily that matched the I love you portion in the video nicely..
Here is the original phone add from which I took the song..

Khushi, I Love you.

Kidnapped

There is an air of confusion, worry and sadness in the Raizada Mansion; it is felt by everyone especially Di and Khushi.

Where is he?

It's the time of year, which brings this depression to the entire Raizada household; the time of celebrating the birthday of their mother who is no more.

The air is heavy and they have followed certain traditions that have been set for this occasion and Arnav leaves, he can't take part in it.

He must be alone...to suffer in silence.

His working trip to London was perfect opportunity to leave this depressive place.

There are memories that you can't hide from and that travel with you no matter where you go, but still he runs.

Khushi has tried to stop him knowing that even though this timing may be wrong she insists he must know her truth. She wants her husband to have all faith in her; she is innocent of her crime.

He wants to believe her so he returns to hear her confession but

To no avail and with a painful farewell, he leaves to go to London or so we think.

A wife's intuition says something is wrong she feels it to the depths of her soul. She received a text but something just doesn't feel right.

The Raizada household's air is so thick with the worry that exudes from the pores of his wife and a pregnant Di.

A lie helps to mask the truth and Di finally succumbs to relief.

But it doesn't last long when a rotund eavesdropper overhears and during his confused version of revelation to his sister, Di overhears that her Chote has not reached London.

Hyperventilation, tears and a pregnant woman causes chaos and they all under the direction of Akhash Bhai bring Anjali to her room.

The room is filled with questions...where is he? How come he hasn't contacted her? He knows she worries. He has deviated from his normal routine.

They must call the Police.

An evil deviant BIL hears this and slowly backs out of the room.

Akash makes the call to the Police and then...

The phone rings.

Who is calling so late?

Anjali answers and you see her worried look and fretting position go to sitting straight up hearing her Chote's voice.

"Chote?"

A disheveled Arnav says all is well and explains that the deal changed and now he is in Scotland. He speaks with all the family where he is reprimanded and asked to bring home gifts. When he speaks to his brother, Akash, he lets him know he will let him in on all the details of the secret deal later on. He also tells him that his reception is poor where he is and may not be in touch and he asks him to take care of his wife and sister.

Akash says to Arnav speak to Khushi.

Arnav's eyes widen a bit, what will he say? Hers are a little tentative almost asking does he really want to speak with me?

They left in an awkward situation and an incomplete revelation of truth.

She walks away from the family, a little more private, places the phone on her ear and he swallows as he waits to hear her voice.

Her eyes brim with tears and he knows she won't say anything.

He knows what he must do.

"Khushi?" Her eyes widen, how did he know she was already on the other end of the phone? He just knows. He gently spoke her name and that was all it took for the tears to fall. Her breathing labored by the pain she feels. She reaches to hold the phone with her another hand too, as if hugging the phone is holding him tight.

He answers her quietness with his affirmation of being fine; he is alright. He says to her, "Please don't cry." And as she cradles the phone tightly, a little ASR comes out when he firmly states, "Khushi, bas, enough, just stop. Khushi, stop crying."

Still no words from her, just tears and he knows he must tell her,

who knows what will happen?

"Khushi, Khushi mein...Khushi mein woh.."

She tightens her grip on the phone.

"Khushi, I love you!"

Her eyes go wide, tears fall and he looks relieved as he waits for her response. His face softened, his look not so tense almost cathartic these words for him. No longer the stone cold heart but a heart that has allowed the ice to melt and feel his emotions. His situation was dangerous but nothing more dangerous to him then his love for Khushi.

He had freed himself from the bondage of pain and fell in love.

Now he had to free himself from the ropes which bound him to the chair and the revolver aimed at his head.

He's been Kidnapped.

****

Those Last Words

If your life was turned upside down, taken from your normal routine, disrupted and thrown into a world of darkness what would be your last words?

Those last words?

If you didn't know whether you would live or die, what words would you say?

Those last words?

Would you rehash old memories and harbor ill feelings or would you follow your heart and intuition?

Those last words?

Would every memory be cherished and the stone cold heart melt away?

Those last words?

Would everything you felt inside, all the hurt and pain you longed to disappear, would you set it free?

Those last words?

Would the truth that was revealed through her eyes be accepted?

Those last words?

Her presence felt through the receiver, she says no words, but you know she is there. "Khushi."

Those last words?

Tears streaming down her face, you know it and feel her pain.

Those last words?

You reassure her you are fine, stop crying, small talk.

Your pain united.

Your hearts united.

Those last words?

Tied and bound, revolver at your head, is this what it takes to say

Those last words?

"Khushi, I love you."

beautiful, cynthia...

loved that last thought on freeing oneself. he has broken free of one imprisonment and now he sits tied and bound literally... they placing of situation, the juxtapositions were often so lovely in ipk.

thanks for this brill take.

you feel the touch of mr khanna there too? yeah... now that you say... actually something reminds me of that one in this one... sometimes... and i pray the three line on forehead does not become a set thing.

i totally agree that cheesy breezy thing is tough to do and when done well is an art form. creates a fantasy space which almost never has been attempted by any other filmi duniya, or even if it has, has it ever been perfected like this... art form. as i write, kishore ji sings kabhi bayiaaan chura legieee... chala jata hoon... baharon meiiin nazaaron meinnn... oh the voice change, the fun, the don't care cheesy... you need isstylewa for that... you know who is a master and who a mere pretender.

i want to see a masala mobhie bhith my ladka and ladki... i even yipped and yelled during towel dance... must find what i bakoed on crooner.

since by the time these episodes were being telecast i was already here on the forum, scribbling madly on crooner most days, i try to see how i looked at something the first time we saw it.

i remember being struck by the phone call in 258... here's my crooner post on that.

from crooner 72: eclipse... the phone call after kidnap. pg 16.

adding on. because maybe this deserves a separate post.

the telephone conversation between arnav and his family.

the phone rings in the middle of a call being made to the cops. the level of worry among the family members has reached a bit beyond mars.

anjali picks up the phone.

her expression begins to clear. then the tearful exchange. sister admonishing brother, anger, worry, relief, everything all at once. around sentence three, cut to tight close up asr.
oph.😆
and the fabulous phone call is on a roll. instrument being passed from one to the other, everybody wants to talk to the one that is away. (how many times have i seen this at home when someone calls long distance. so damn natural! what a fantastic device used adroitly by masters of storytelling.)

the brother wants to reassure the sister despite all his troubles, yet that little asr head tilt of irritation at her usual overworry (need to create words, sorry).

the grandmother grabs the phone. extreme tenderness, utter dependence, relief washing over into a smile, pleading with her grandson through mock forgiving for the last time (last time?!! no, cut that thought and throw it far far away). did you notice the surge of emotions across barun's face? this woman has been his pillar, his shelter when he was destitute, and he must have played on her lap (yeah yeah i'm getting mushy but you know grandmothers do that to me) as a kid. as he sits before a gun pointed at him (if we are to believe the precap) wonder how many thoughts are racing through his head as he hears her voice.

on to mamiji. oh that to and fro, her smile full of her love for arnav bitwa, because funny/mean/gauche/nouveau riche whatever mamiji may be, her love for this bitwa is the real deal. and they have a special relationship. no matter what her drawbacks, he gets her. remember that necklace incident? oh i fell a bit more in love with asr that day. to love someone though they ain't perfect, to indulge someone just because you can, aw i die. what a treat that conversation "so what will you get me from scotland?" 😆😆 inane, yet full of meaning. arnav almost smiles. her prattle creating an illusion of normalcy perhaps? for a brief moment, mamiji's into her inane prattle, all is right with the world.

akash interrupts, so natural, so apt, so son like. on to the conversation between two bros, nay to me they are brothers not just cousins. off we go into the questions regarding business and things, arnav does not interrupt this conversation and rush into the main event. he wants no member of his family to worry, not the elderly, not the physically weak, not the young and strong. no one. he takes care of everyone. he has an answer for everyone's question. no one must worry, not for him. o my oh.
finally, the request, akash, take care of di and khushi. did you hear his voice thicken ever so slightly on her name? what is this unbearably good acting i say.

last and absolutely most, khushi. now that just under 3 min (correct me if i'm wrong) conversation will go down in the annals of classic love stories as the finest phone conversation ever when love was declared through the most beautiful utterance and the most eloquent silence.
(i wouldn't be surprised if a telephone company or operator soon filches the scene for an ad.)

that call was a masterstroke. there was love, family, nuanced emotion, plus plot development there. then there was i love you.
thank you writer, director, and each and every actor.

~~A Circle of Eternity~~

Atoot Bandhan

by

ArshiHamesha

Continue from "A Connection of Heart to Soul"

Emergence of a woman through these words is shaping up a new storm behind this temporarily calmness of the surroundings .The brewing up anger in her is settling into deep concerns, concerns are raving up into realizations and that turns hopes up with rebellious desires "to be with him" no matter what , "to claim him as hers" no matter what ...indeed "ek din nafrat bhi sharma jati hai ...agar ek mauqa diya jaye..."..[Hate gets defeated in front of love eventually]...

She is entering the temple where he broke her fast on Teej .Her each step is closer to that eternal touch of his by sipping the "Abe Hayat" which he gave her couple of months ago but she scolds at him for that "Why did you give me that ... you broke my fast", yes broken fast "mujhe nahi pata tha keh tumhara...tum behosh ho rahi theen.."[ u were getting fainted..I didn't know you are fastening]...He never knew about Her getting trapped into Shyam's games but he still saved her from all the dizziness of this whole game under DeviMaiya's supervision...He offered her eternal life with him and that's what he's been offering her all along either in hate or love and today she understood that by embracing each step towards it.

She is standing in front of Lord Shiv not Devi Maiya and praying for her Arnavji's welfare as his wife... aap bas unka khyal rakhein aur haan unn se kahiyega jaldi wapas aa jayain"...[ Just take care of him and please tell him to come back soon]

Shiv,The Lord of "mercy and repentance" ...as She is repenting for all of her actions today .Lord Shiv also has the power vanquishing evil and she is gathering that from Lord Shiv to vanquish Shyam's evil plot as their positions [Khushi is in between Shyam and Anjali]...while standing in front of Shiv is ringing those bells. "aap hamein chodiye...hum apni mushkile khud suljha lenge...aur haan "humne apni dil ki baat aapke saamne rakhi, yeh baat aap Devi Maiyya se mat kahiyega". [ I can take care of myself..Don't tell DeviMaiya that I opened up in front of you]...Last time she declared to Devimaiya that she won't speak to her and doesn't have any intension to stay here but today she is here for her husband...her Arnavji...She has done every ritual under Devi Maiya's supervision and today she is completing the circle with Lord Shiv with her pure , innocent and eternal acceptance of her Love for Arnavji..."Apne pati keh liye..jin se hum bohat pyar karte hain.." and She will declare these words to the Evil later.

Khushi is asking strength for him , so he can fight with all the demons within and around him. Here comes Anjali's words with Arnav in front of the mirror..."tum khud bhi nahi jante keh tumhain Khushiji ka kitna Khiyal hai..." and that made him realize to say "I love you.." because he just does and doesn't want any reason to do so...For Khushi here comes Naniji's words ..."hamre chotey hai na agar woh kisi se pyaar karte hain aur unke liye kuch nahi kar sakte to khudhi ko sazaa dene lag jate hain"...

Today the soothing sound of spreading pearls make her understand the true meaning of Arnav's pearled oceanic Love which is way deeper than anything...Which was always around her to sooth her from every storm and today she is feeling alone walking , facing the heat of it but his Love is her strength and that will light her path to find all the treasures of their moments to go through this darkness till she finds him..."hum ne aapko dhoond hi liya" ...till then he will be his guardian angel of strength..."aap hi hamari taqat thai..." [u were my strength] ...Yes she has unlocked the real meaning of Love of the man who is everything for her since from the beginning and today she wants to claim him...to embrace him..the way he is ..

Kuch rishtey ajeeb hi Dor mein bandhey hotey hain

Takraar se shuru hote hain...Nafrat ke saaye mein panapte hain

Girte hain...padte hain...par Kaayam rahte hain

Nafrat badhti jaati hai...aur Rishtey ki gaanth aur gehri hoti jaati hai

Itni ki ek din Nafrat bhi aur badhne se sharma jaati hai

Aur woh rishta sirf ek bandhan bankar reh jaata hai, lekin sirf Nafrat waala

Kabhi kabhi aisa lagta hai...Nafrat ke us maahaul mein kuch to hai

Jo humse kehta hai -

is unsuni, anjaane se,ankahe se rishtey ko ek mauka to do

Par jis rishtey ki neev hi Nafrat pe rakhi gayi ho -

Uss sey kuch bhi ummeed lagaana naadani nahi to aur kya hoga

Aur shaayad yeh naadani hum kar baithe hain

warna kyun itni nafrat ke baawjood hamein aapki yaad aa rahi hai

Kyun hum aapse ladte hain, jhagarte hain...laikin aapke jaane ke baad

Aapki hi ki raah dekhte hain, hawaon se aapki baatein karte hain...

Khushi's each line is enveloped in layers and layers of pain, yearning, forlorn and discontent but right from her Heart dipped in pure Love... which is bleeding for him only..Yes This is a merger phase from "Hate to Love"..."Main tum se nafrat kar hi nahi paya...hum ne kitni koshish ki aapse pyar na karne ke liye.."...Today she cried her heart out to clear all the dust of dust...yes she loves him , she just does ,the way he does... Fadak padta hai from both sides...

Khushi's walk was alone and she is standing alone while talking with Arnav, though at both places she is with her family but the beauty is she is looking forward in her life towards Arnav , A man who drags her , hates her, hurts her but always stands by her and she has connected that strong "Dhaga" thread only with him .Everyone has their place in their life but now it's them what is the most important to them. He spoke to family like an anchor but now it's time for them...Love his control over himself delivering strength to his Khushi..."I love you"...A single tear rolls down like a first drop of water on a dry land...

Yes that drop of hope, she finally opens the door of her heart and finds her Rajkumar ,right there lightening her dreams by removing her darkness of every single doubt...⭐️

She steps forward to insure him , to embrace him, to hold him in his path of remorse by accepting him as hers .Their union started with the broken pearls and today it is symbolically getting encircled in those pure nuggets which he ties around her neck by giving her ...respect and pride ...by making her his half...his equal...and marriage got approval by both today for eternity...in her dream...👏

but she still feels this "I love you Khushi " in a bottle as a hint of him in a trouble..."Sab Kuch Chalte huwe , wo hum se itni badi baat nahin kar sakte...[He can't say those words in a normal condition]

ArshiH⭐️

I missed this or you just put it there.Magnificent insight of Khushi's realizations and revelations of love that ocean who is holding and caressing this pearl and now she is acknowledging it.

Your words with deep meaning waving my heart, He is ocean and in his depth he is holding her with all he got to shower his love , cradle her , sooth her even though he is miles away. That is the great power of Love and as you mentioned so many times Ishq, yes this is the one which which lead to telepathy crossing all borders.

Take a bow 😊and as I always say, please post your articles on the main forum, let everyone read it.

The confession: Part One

"Di Ka aur (a pause) Khushi ka khayaal rakhna"

The following 1-2 minutes are filled with so much raw and reality it cuts to the core of every person following this beautiful love story...even a person flipping through the channels accidentally coming upon this scene would pause and have to finish watching the scene. this was their specialty, their magic, you forget where the actors begin and Arnav and Khushi end. The actors were probably on the phone with someone on the set reciting their co-actor's lines but who am i to spoil this grand moment? Its just that, that's how incredibly good they were, both of them.

I have been struggling for time, because i'm one of those people that need inspiration and time to pen anything worth reading together, thanks to these two i found some YAY😆

As she fell into his arms as Sheesh Mehel, there were fireworks in the background, a sign of whats to come perhaps?

Their explosive fight, every loud struggle against farq, through all the tender colorful Rabba ve's, the excruciating painful burns that extremes of a windy night and finally after bringing forth the truth behind it, the ultimate realization hit both of them.

Khushi wants nothing more that to hold on to that dhaga (Thread) and Arnav has learned just how much "taqleef" his heart feels while going far away from her. It all has come down to this moment.

All a part of the villian's plan to keep the cops away, and these two apart...but like always, Shyaam once again helps take their relationship to the next level...sucker.

ASR is successful in putting Di, Nani, Mamiji and Akash at ease...He is in Scotland not London and noone not even Aman knows about this deal. he tells Akash. his last words to Akash with all his trust

"Di Ka aur (a pause) Khushi ka khayaal rakhna"

uff that pause in red between Di and Khu-Khushi speaks volumes. Di is ofcourse Di but Khushi, despite what he saw that night on the terrace has managed to capture a place in his heart that can only be hers. The Taqleef is back in that pause, the thought of never seeing her again, he has trouble saying her name.

Akaash takes on the responsibility, thinking for a couple of days like the good brother he is

"achha bhai Khushiji se baat kijiye," Ok bhai, talk to Khushiji"

Oh how the scene is taken up by a 1000 notches

A strong "Rabba ve",

a slight change in his eye direction...a slew of emotions that not a room full of people and a phone line between them could hide.

With nothing but honesty, sometime brutal, in his bones, it was hard but he had managed to white lie to his Di, Nani, Maamiji and Akaash...but to Khushi? what will he say? it's not even about making her believe he is ok...but the thought of never seeing her, we see him in a completely different light. In fact the ASR dimaag stops here and his heart completely takes over...he doesn't know what will happen to him

She grabs the phone and slowly walks away from the family, such a natural thing to do of a wife.

He has to start out by uttering her name "Khushi"...everytime he says it dammit, its so special. His entire being seems to achieve some sort of peace. sukoon.

With her name on his lips, their connection is intensified by the wind Gods ... the mehsoos...she starts to shed tears silently but when has their mehsoos needed any sound?

Surely he thought about her countless efforts to prove her innocense. he must finally believe that her love for him is real.

He feels those tears on his heart thousands of times over. oh he needs her to stop. completely off guard and so vulnerable he is now

"Kh..."

a pause while she grabs the phone by both hands and sobs some more

He musters up the courage to tell her what he needs her to believe

"Khushi, i'm fine mien teek hoon ok?" he tries so hard to be that aggressive man that scolds her like child...but

"Please mat ro" (Please don't cry) ... almost whispering he pleads to her

"Rabba ve" seeps in...the slow sad one

"Khushi Bas"..."Stop" ... have we seen anything so so sweet?

he can still feel them rolling off her eyes

"khushi rona band karo" (khushi stop crying)

He is aware his pleads are to no avail but time was running out...there was something he has to tell her

For some reason, those words he uttered on stage , at the mere thought of losing her, never seeing her comes to mind.

Jab jo bhura kiya uska koi matlab nahi, jab jo bhura kaha uska koi matlab nahi.

Only difference is here its very much more than a thought that he may never see her again. Nothing else mattered, and Sobti emoted that so well without using those words.

"Khushi mein tum..."

a bit more of that holding back but at last eyes focused and determination on his face

Out come little but powerful words

"Khushi, I love you"

said in perfect pitch in a husky half whisper

He can still feel her crying but this time it was tears of joy. He exhaled the most gorgeous exhale like the world of off his shoulders, a slight smile and an ever so gentle blinking of the eyes indicating his emotional state.

Time stood still, felt like a moment on another universe. ASR confessed that he loved his Khushi. He needed her to know . Nothing else matters. It felt so pure coming out of his mouth, then again such is his love for her.

Bravo Sobti, BRAVO...every micro-expression here, every tiny eye movement, that bit of quivering lip, the body language was perfection!

DROOL CORNER!!!!!!!!!!!

awwweee what a treat In Diji,

whenever i get some time, you all remind me what great stuff i'm missing. wish i knew of the crooner...better yet wish i knew of the show when you all were indulging in such writing!

beautiful and insightful on this whole family convo. you nailed each aspect. The mami bhanja part was esp heart touching for me. Mamiji was so happy dil se to hear from his and yes you put it so well that maybe she gave him a sense of normalcy.

the acting OH THE ACTING!!! those expression...all billion of them were so freaking real! i can watch the best shows in America and feel like that acting, but here? not for a sec.

Please tell me this show will go down the history and at some point will be studied in all the colleges?
