And d elders of d house agree wid d condition dat she vl be able to luk after d house too. My question is y only women hv to adjust however educated n successful they are while men can remain in d house how much they want? Why only unfair things happen wid women? In Muslim, men can marry as much women as he can n if women even thinks abt 2nd man then she is treated like a criminal. Dis thing was asked by a wife to her husband in a popular historical serial on d same channel as QH. Initially, in Hindu too men can marry as much women as he wants but women r called cheap things if she does so. Draupadi's case was different n strange. Many people called cheap things including wh**e. In d same way, tv shows show men walk around stylishly in business outfits talking abt business now n then wid men of d house or to some friends or employees while women r shown in heavy traditional clothes wid jewelleries working around in d house n waiting for their husbands to come home. If Dilshad can make Asad a business tycoon then y she made Sanam run a dhaba? She even did not gave her proper education or made her do some computer, dance, singing course.

This is true! How come Dilshaad who made Asad an Architect and Najma a collage grad, as a single mother, unable to do anything better for Sanam? In a more advanced time? How come Sanam is less educated and was running a Dhaba? Also, why was she ready to marry off Sanam at a young age to that dubious guy Anwar? The whole thing makes less sense, given that this is 20 years in the future??

Gul being a smart and savy business women, can't she at least portray women in a more realistic manner? Her women are mostly either victims or vamps! Very unrealistic. Even the educated girls from high society only have one aspiration. Marriage! It's actually very irritating to watch!! It's like we are nothing without a man!! So insulting!!

True.. Its not this show.. in every other show its the same.. suddenly females are relegated to just romancing the heroes and investigating some silly kitchen shajish.. Actually, the indian telly creative can't think beyond it.. and I think this a trend they will continue till such shows stop working at all.
DABH is unique in this because its baseline was always about a successful woman who could realize her dreams due to her husband. Only show that is almost correctly balancing career and Home life of a modern woman is Yeh Hai Mohabatein, where the female lead is a successful dentist. She is shown as tackling her career, her home, her child and her CEO husband's hectic Social circle. It is shown in a natural manner where she seeks help from her Amma when she needs her child to be babysit or when she needs help for cooking for guests. Another Star plus show which I barely follow but can recall similar natural progression of things was Yeh Rishta kya Kehlata hai where Akshara took over her husbands job when he met with accident. she continued working with him for sometime and then stopped when her child needed her undivided attention for studies.
QH has been unique in only portrayal of its Female lead till the 1st 150 episodes...after that Zoya ,Asad slowly began to loose the originality... so did the storyline.. unfortunately it was the entry of the Billo Rani which lead to slow downfall of the show and its characters for me..

Has anyone noticed that post leap how much they have changed Dilshad's Character.. Where earlier she used to speak in a modulated polished accent liberally sprinkled with English now she speaks like average grandma who barely says a word of English. Earlier she would have said like ,' Sanam ke boss apne Employees ka accha khayal rakhte hai..' Now she says ' Sanam ke Malik aapne Mulazimo ka khayal rakhte hai..' Its totally disconcerting... its like Shireen's soul has enetered Dilshad.
Dilshad was my favourite supporting character till date and this gradual assassination of her character is killing the show for me more than Asad and Zoya's assassination or KSG's replacement.. MAybe I am the only one with that POV

I even get annoyed wid Sanam carrying a metal trunk as her luggage. Even Haya carried a handbag n a trolley briefcase wen she entered KV then y is Sanam carrying such outdated trunk? If Haya has such a beautiful hairstyle n nice clothes then y can't Sanam hv them?

I agree with you, TV serials should show women working. Most of the shows are regressive in that department. Especially in Q.H Gul showed none of the women working. And I really wanted Zoya to work.
A woman who is independent is a modern woman and not the way they dress up.
A woman may be sari clad, wearing jewellery but can be independent & modern.
But yeah there are shows which do depict women independent & working, like DABH, YHM & many more.

They only progressed Nikhat's character 2wards d end. She did not came into Farhan's emotional blackmail n forgave him in d jail but instead shoved d heart pillow on his face to remind him his misdeeds of how he tried to kill her wid her own gift. Then, Nikhat was shown driving d car herself instead of sitting like a princess in d back-seat while d driver drives. No women was shown driving earlier. Zoya was mentioned driving wen she asked Ayaan for his car keys during JaNu SR but she was never shown driving. Then Nikhat was shown in London wearing a sleeveless top wid her hair tied in a stylish bun. May be, Nikhat too had started working. But they hv really spoiled a modern NRI's character by showing her falling for a MCP, regressive, judgemental, arrogant, rude Asad by seeing his six-packs instead of showing her working.
