Jaya, Dear very nice thoughts 😳 👏 I wish they would do that while I was alive or do it somewhere else in front of god. They don't need my funeral to do that. These same people could not realize while I am alive, I seriously doubt they would have sudden enlightenment and realize it when I am dead 😲. I have noticed people at funeral who have said very negative things abt dead person while they were alive & suddenly speaking so many wonderful things abt them b/c they know they don't have to deal with them any more 😕.

I have open policy with all. Pls come to me and talk if any issues and if they don't than my funeral time is too late just let me rest in peace. If they want to realize and show remource than they can do it in privacy of their own and not use my funeral to do that. Remember these people are not doing it to make dead person feel better. Basically they are doing it to make themselves feel better so they don't have to live with the guilt IMHO.

just as birth is celebrated, so is death...there will be people who care, people who just want to "time-pass", and people who are genuine....and it is a known fact that it takes all kinds to make the world...

For me, it would be people who stand by me when I am alive and value me as a person. I hate to say this but sometimes I have not liked someone too much, yet when that person passes away I feel sorry and have said a good word or two.... perhaps out of sympathy for those left behind or other reasons.

I would want people who value my friendship or relationship to stand by me when I am alive so that we can enhance our relationship and learn from one another. Once I am gone....... it would not matter who gathered at my funeral or said what. Just my POV.
