even i felt sorry for smita....it did come across like she was trying too hard...she was trying to go outside her comfort zone....but guess she has to do everything she can if she wants to stay around...but honestly i don't feel she'll be here for long..coz she may not have a big teenage fan following...which gets u the votes... 😕

Hmmm, I don't think the junta always votes based on looks.
If that was case, why was Sagar the first contestant eliminated last season?
A lot of people liked Sandeep, Debojit and Abhijeet cos of their simplicity.
I guess we never know. I think the praise and standing ovation will help Smita. People are talking about her more than any other contestant. We can't always go by the forum opinion cos not everyone can vote here but I guess it says something about yesterday's episode and the impact of Smita's performance. 😊

i wish u r right😊 i wud love to see smita get high votes and do well... i really doubt that forum opinion can be taken seriously, coz parleen was a favorite here even maybe a month before ii began, but he ended up being in the bottom 4...

A very good discussion and a very good point. There is no place for simplicity in today's tv. case to the point are vanita and saraswat who couldnt make it to the top 28. they are much better than the present lot of contestants.

But as someone said winning also means improvising and coming to the top...overcoming one's shortcomings. And thats what Smita is doing. 3 cheers to her!

i dont think she will be in bottom 4 tonite, but for further rounds she wud need to keep repeating such a performance coz the memory of people is very very short today everyone is praising her, but next episode no one will remember her unless she again comes up with a surprise...

My only concern is - Indian Idol concentrates a lot on performance and other factors too than singing... Are you sure, you selected the correct platform to showcase your talent? 😕
