No one cared about alia acting and one highway after suddenly she have lot of talent for the people.
Suddenly large people found that kangna is a stellar actor after queen.
Same thing happened with Arjun during Rock on and with Ab jr after guru , thankfully people realised they are Total BS actors.

Yes it does but a movie that has impact!! A debut movie these days may or may not but does give yourecognition and opportunities but you have to sustain..or you lost example imran khan!!

Examples presently ranveer and deepika they suddenly got so many phans!! Esp ranveer!!

One film does not define your acting credentials.

On another note, I thought she was only average in Highway. She wasn't as great as everyone made her to be. But then again maybe it's just me.

She barely manage to give an avg performance

One good film does not make me think that he/she is a great actor/actress, but rather I come to the conclusion that he/she CAN act and is not utterly hopeless. For example: Arjun was good in Rock on, but wooden in other films. So I think of him as someone who can perform well under able direction.

I think it does. But Kangana was known as a good actress even before Queen.

You forgot DP in Cocktail. After that movie, everyone's opinion about her acting changed.

For me, it does!😆
Did not find Kangana that good untill Queen, started looking forward to Alia's films after Highway and became a Sonakshi fan after Lootera .
I think it also depends on the film. If you like the film, you might start liking the actors and I honestly liked all the three films mentioned above and that's why I started liking the actors.

YES, one film seems to change everything in Bollywood. But one film will not be enough to maintain your superstar status for a long time
