A caption is a title or explanation for a picture or illustration.

So, I was wondering if the some of the so-called captions that have been voted the most even qualify as a caption.

I mean, just for that one gesture of Mallika, you possibly can not have that big of an explanation.

It just made no sense to me, and so I have not voted. I think a caption should be properly defined first for contests like this. Imagine having like 10 lines under just one picture in a magazine!! It doesn't work like that.

No offence intended!

If I'm not wrong a caption normally has one or two sentences. Also Karan isn't there in the photo, so I don't understand why there are dialogues for him.

I can not agree with you any more. See my post above and yes, that's what I have been pondering over. Most of them don't even qualify as captions! Just 'coz it is funny doesn't mean it is a caption...

I posted this a while ago, but there has been no appropriate reply, so I don't know what to say.

Point Taken.

A caption should be a few lines. But this is just for fun, we want it to be funny and creative and some of these are REALLY funny and creative so why not leave it as it is. Sure it may be called the CAPTION CONTEST but if it makes you feel better we can change the title for you, cuz I think some of the work these members sent is outstanding and everyone did a fab job

And not all captions are 10 lines some are one liners you could've voted for any of those ..

Also some members have indicated that Karan is in the background .. which technically speaking he is in the background he's just not shown in the picture ... its perfectly fine to have him say a couple of lines

Anyways If you wanna discuss this any further you can PM me :)
