Delhi Belly director Abhinay Deo will now helm a film with Hrithik Roshan in the lead.
Rakesh Roshan has asked Abhinay Deo to direct a film for him that will star Hrithik Roshan. The film will go on floors sometime next year. The rest of the cast is yet to be finalised.
Mirror has it that Hrithik and Abhinay had been discussing the possibility of doing a film together since the longest time. Way back in 2009, the two had even worked together on a television commercial.
A source said: "Hrithik and Abhinay have been friends for years now. The two had discussed several ideas and even zeroed down on a story in 2012 when Krrish 3 was being filmed. But that project did not materialise."
Now, Abhinay is ready with two concepts, one is his idea and the other is Rakesh and Hrithik's. It is to be seen which one is picked up first.
Added the source, "Both the stories are action oriented. Once the story is finalised, Abhinay will go for a reccee in October."
Abhinay made his debut with box-office dud Game (April, 2011) but quickly bounced back with the cult film Delhi Belly (July, 2011). After that, he directed Anil Kapoor's TV show 24.
Hrithik is currently busy with Siddharth Anand's Bang Bang, post which he will start shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo Daro. And a few days back, he gave his nod to a Hollywood film to be directed by Rob Cohen of Fast & Furious fame.
