What exactly did Paro do that is so wrong? It was Rudra who Mala abandoned, it was Rudra who was taunted, it was Rudra who had a miserable childhood, it was Rudra who was bought up with the poison Dilsheer gave him regarding his mum and women. Yes Paro has see the result of that which was Jallad Rudra but she didn't feel it first hand the way he did.
What Paro felt was the love, care and nurturing Mala gave an orphan Paro for 15 years. What Paro has seen is a very kind, loving, compassionate Mala, it is very hard for her to dislike a mother like figure. The same way as Rudra can't feel love for Mala the same way Paro does at the moment, Paro can't suddenly dislike Mala.
Paro did NOT choose Mala over Rudra. Rudra's response to seeing Mala pop up like that was flight. He wasn't prepared to face her and like he does in other surprise situations he needs to run away, think, drink and then flight the situation how he sees fit. Paro's respond in all surprise situations is to stand there and fight in that moment, she confronts her situations when they come to her whereas Rudra chooses to confront situations when he wants to not when they spring up.
Paro only asked Rudra to confront his mother then and there and be able to move on from his past once he gets his answers, answers he's waited 15 years for and there is nothing wrong with that. Also it is very natural for Paro to reach out to anyone and empathise with them be it a stranger who is in love with her husband in the form of Laila or be it her adopted mother in Mala.
When Rudra asks "pati ke saath rehna chahti hai ya uske?"...Paro doesn't choose Mala over Rudra there either, she chooses to give Rudra his space which she always does, she is not clingy like Laila is. Remember when he tells her about Mala, even then Paro gave him space to share what he wants when he wants. What did people expect from Paro, hop into the jeep, hug Rudra and curse Mala? Because that would be very uncharacteristic of her to do
Forgiveness is a very hard thing, especially for Rudra and especially to give to Mala for the torment she has put him through and forgiveness is by NO means compulsory to give to Mala. BUT before we all judge Mala as a "s**t" can we wait for her side of the story to be fully revealed. On one hand we have seen her as doting mother figure to Paro on the other hand we've seen her as a mother and wife who abandoned her child and husband...reasons still unclear. Personally, I'm with Rudra, I'm probably gonna hold some grudge against Mala for a long time but I wouldn't call her a s**t for being flawed, for making a mistake she deeply regrets and for acknowledging that she will not get forgiveness easy.
Final note is on a very very small portion of the fandom who complain about Ashish overdoing/Sanaya under acting. If you look at the characteristics of both Rudra and Paro it might help understand what they do. Paro is a very very subtle person, who uses words limitedly, who reacts and thinks alot more internally and that's why especially of you compare Paro to Khushi or even Sanaya as a person it appears that she isn't doing much, when infact she is doing exactly what the character of Paro requires and what her directors ask her to. As for Ashish as Rudra well for me personally he is nothing short of amazing. It is difficult to understand Rudra and for Ashish to play such a complex character it must be difficult. Rudra is very expressive with eyes, body language and even voice modulation but that is just how his character is, especially when showing his hurt and anger.
Hopefully we get more a backstory of why Mala left. Monday is going to be power packed!
My apologise for this long boring essay of you made it to the end thank you!...i needed to get my rant and justification out:
