Why whatever Paro did yesterday was not dumb or wrong?:

What exactly did Paro do that is so wrong? It was Rudra who Mala abandoned, it was Rudra who was taunted, it was Rudra who had a miserable childhood, it was Rudra who was bought up with the poison Dilsheer gave him regarding his mum and women. Yes Paro has see the result of that which was Jallad Rudra but she didn't feel it first hand the way he did.

What Paro felt was the love, care and nurturing Mala gave an orphan Paro for 15 years. What Paro has seen is a very kind, loving, compassionate Mala, it is very hard for her to dislike a mother like figure. The same way as Rudra can't feel love for Mala the same way Paro does at the moment, Paro can't suddenly dislike Mala.

Paro did NOT choose Mala over Rudra. Rudra's response to seeing Mala pop up like that was flight. He wasn't prepared to face her and like he does in other surprise situations he needs to run away, think, drink and then flight the situation how he sees fit. Paro's respond in all surprise situations is to stand there and fight in that moment, she confronts her situations when they come to her whereas Rudra chooses to confront situations when he wants to not when they spring up.
Paro only asked Rudra to confront his mother then and there and be able to move on from his past once he gets his answers, answers he's waited 15 years for and there is nothing wrong with that. Also it is very natural for Paro to reach out to anyone and empathise with them be it a stranger who is in love with her husband in the form of Laila or be it her adopted mother in Mala.

When Rudra asks "pati ke saath rehna chahti hai ya uske?"...Paro doesn't choose Mala over Rudra there either, she chooses to give Rudra his space which she always does, she is not clingy like Laila is. Remember when he tells her about Mala, even then Paro gave him space to share what he wants when he wants. What did people expect from Paro, hop into the jeep, hug Rudra and curse Mala? Because that would be very uncharacteristic of her to do

Forgiveness is a very hard thing, especially for Rudra and especially to give to Mala for the torment she has put him through and forgiveness is by NO means compulsory to give to Mala. BUT before we all judge Mala as a "s**t" can we wait for her side of the story to be fully revealed. On one hand we have seen her as doting mother figure to Paro on the other hand we've seen her as a mother and wife who abandoned her child and husband...reasons still unclear. Personally, I'm with Rudra, I'm probably gonna hold some grudge against Mala for a long time but I wouldn't call her a s**t for being flawed, for making a mistake she deeply regrets and for acknowledging that she will not get forgiveness easy.

Final note is on a very very small portion of the fandom who complain about Ashish overdoing/Sanaya under acting. If you look at the characteristics of both Rudra and Paro it might help understand what they do. Paro is a very very subtle person, who uses words limitedly, who reacts and thinks alot more internally and that's why especially of you compare Paro to Khushi or even Sanaya as a person it appears that she isn't doing much, when infact she is doing exactly what the character of Paro requires and what her directors ask her to. As for Ashish as Rudra well for me personally he is nothing short of amazing. It is difficult to understand Rudra and for Ashish to play such a complex character it must be difficult. Rudra is very expressive with eyes, body language and even voice modulation but that is just how his character is, especially when showing his hurt and anger.

Hopefully we get more a backstory of why Mala left. Monday is going to be power packed!

My apologise for this long boring essay of you made it to the end thank you!...i needed to get my rant and justification out:

Beautifully said, Shona.. Paro,in fact, handled the situation with much tact and maturity.

I for one, thought Paro was bang on! And rudra did come back to meet mother, although with the help of a bottle or two of straight whisky!
Also, paro did not support mala. She handled the situation with tact. See, if she had fought Rudras battle for him, he would not have liked it, number one, and it is not her battle to fight... In the sense that, the end objective is for rudra to get closure on this issue. If mala had again run away at Paros words, then it would have remained an open wound for rudra still.

She kept mala safe and taken care of, handled laila, and then ran behind major... Went home, then as we see in the precap, caught up. With him again at the bsd office.

i will not comment on the topic that what paro did or what she has not done because i can see multiple defensive and counter topics on her , so that will just elongate the arguements and create a hiatus.
I will clarify that i watch the show in rough patches and not a regular viewer. About acting of the lead, as the TM has mentioned i find both the actors truly convincing, they do whatever they are asked to do.
But i will be honest, I do not know any Ashish fans, but i have many IF and FB friends who happen to be hardcore sanaya fans, and they have shown their disappointment about the show and more about Sanaya's character and performance. I am just saying that how there are many of her fans also who did not like her acting here but still finds her a very good actress. I have many common friends of top ranked stars of IF, so i do know how IF and the trend here works, so i usually do not defend any of the actors here and nor do i criticize, but since few days i have seen how sanaya fans have targetted many members for criticizing Paro or supporting Rudra, and trust me that has put me off, because there are many silent readers who come to the forum and when they see such conditions they will have a shoddy knowledge about the bigger fangroup here. This is a fiction show, if someone is criticizing Paro, then you can criticize Rudra but do not target the person for being expressive about his or her opinion.
Actingwise both sanaya and Ashish has their highs and lows , but sanaya is a victim of a poor script here, she can do much better, its her acting that makes her character watchable, otherwise with just biased writing anybody could lose it for the character of Paro.

I agree with your take on this.

First of all, we all need to separate the actors from the characters as people. They are totally different entities. A fictional character is just that, Fiction! lol. A very valid point is that these actors play lots of different characters so we should never compare the characters from different shows to each other, simply because the same actor is portraying the character.
Second, I agree with your opinion on Paro's response to Mala. She did not have Rudra's childhood experience and she is strong enough of a person not to be absorbed into him and feel hate for Mala just because her husband (who she loves with all her heart) hates Mala. he may be justified in feeling so but what justification would she have. Nothing that we have been privy too as the viewers.
Third, totally agree, Rudra fled the scene until he can find the inner strength to deal with all of his overwhelming emotions. I don't blame him for that but I acknowledge that he did that while Paro remained to deal with the issues at hand, including that B Laila, lol.
I am not a person who is on team Paro or team Rudra. I love both characters for what they are. Yes, usually Rudra is the more stable and sensible but Paro has been his strength on many occasions and she had given him what he desperately needs, happiness.
You spelled it out exactly. Good for you! ⭐️

Great post and much needed! Not so much to support Paro but because we must stand up and object to lopsided, prejudiced criticisms of all folks...not just of fictional characters but even of the superb actors who work their guts out to portray these highly emotional roles.
Am NOT taking any sides here..its just that the vitriol is sometimes so corrosive, you wanna quit IF. I am finding it increasingly difficult to avoid reading the hate as even post topics have turned vicious.

Piccola1,
I could not agree with you more. I joined this forum to get information on the show, read fan fictions, laugh at some jokes and read some light hearted analysis. Some forum members have seemed to confuse the actors with the characters and have gotten so incredibly vicious that it makes me want to run. Its stopped being a fun place. I hope those members learn to enjoy the show for what it is, a fictional drama, and just stop the negativity. ⭐️

Call me crazy but I like the way the character Paro is from the beginning and also Rudra and also liking the way they are shaping up now supporting each other, in love with each other and helping each other in understanding things.
The negative posts the more I ignore I'll be that much happy.
I just want to enjoy RR peacefully and I know once in a while the senior members like you will guide the new members like us to maintain healthy and peaceful environment in IF.

When I write almost daily posts on the RR fb page I dont feel like sharing them on IF because of all the negativity on this forum but it's nice to see Shonasandy shared this on my behalf :) and more so that there are members who understand that this is Paro's character and this is how she reacts all the time, shes not a melodramatic bahu
