Bond Of the Week

What really defines a bond between two people? Is it the amount of time for which they have known each other? Or how many things they have in common? Or even how similar they are in nature?

In the case of the two people who have displayed the best bond on Sadda Haq this week, none of the above questions can be answered in the affirmative. The two concerned people have known each other for not more than 2 or 3 months. They don't have a single thing in common except sheer love for knowledge of mechanical engineering. And they are the two most dissimilar people in nature who yet share the strongest bond that has been witnessed in the span of the entire show so far. Yes, this is about the bond between the perpetually calm Parth and the eternally feisty Sanyukta. These two started out as acquaintances when they met in the village during the first round of the Dream Team competition. Their acquaintance ameliorated and grew into friendship when Sanyukta was offered the CITE jacket by Parth to cover her exposed back due to her torn kurti and when Parth lied to Sameer about Sanyukta's whereabouts as per her request, while they were still in the village. They found a deep respect for each other during the course of the competition, which strengthened their bond. Sanyukta was the happiest, yes, even more than Vidushi, when Parth transferred to FITE. He helped the Dream Team with the puzzling poetry in Niharika's diary and earned the stature of an experienced and wise person in Sanyukta's eyes. Their bond grew deeper through the daily course of college when they helped each other with numerous assignments and projects. The test of the tenacity of their bond was taken when Parth was accused of transferring the FITE Dream Team funds to CITE's account. Sanyukta held her ground and maintained that Parth was innocent and ultimately, with Randhir's help, she led the team to believe and prove that Parth was indeed guiltless.

We love their bond and friendship because no one should have to fight their battles alone.

Prediction Of The Week

With the many impactful scenarios happening on Sadda Haq this week, quite a few predictions can be drawn. With the Dean and Prof. Vardhaan still angry about the transfer of Dream Team funds from FITE to CITE, there would be an investigation to find the culprit. CITE may refuse to give the funds back and a Vardhaan - Kabir face-off is yet another possibility.

Also, Randhir will be insanely envious of Sanyukta and Parth spending much more time together and will be more devious in spying on them. It was also shown that Sanyukta's father's company is suffering losses and Sanyukta will help them recover the losses. The manner in which Sanyukta will help them isn't going to be obvious, but her help will definitely bring a change for the better, thereby proving to her brother and father that she isn't meant to be only a homemaker.

Moment of the Week

18th March, 2014

This moment was definitely, when Randhir stepped down and offered Parth to take the post of being a Captain and leading the Dream Team. This was a very difficult step for Randhir, as for him his career and the dream team is his goal, he gives his whole and soul for it, its his passion and Parth is his rival, he also wanted to prove Parth and Sanyukta that he is the best, and he won the competition and proved it too, but then seeing Parth's dedication and hearing glimpses of his past, his positive attitude, somewhere he thought that Parth had always tried to support him, and he could lead the team better. So for the victory and for the team, he let his ego down and gave Parth a chance, surprising everyone and the team too supported his decision, cause they believed in Parth.
So what Professor Vardhaan couldn't do in spite of trying so much to convince Parth of being the Captain, as he knew Parth was deserving, Randhir did. Parth accepted it too, after getting everyone's support, making it indeed the most interesting moment.

Summary Of the Week

Sadda Haq is the journey of an ordinary girl with extraordinary dreams. Born to business class conservative family; she aims at becoming an Engineer. The very word "Machine" fascinates her. Coming from a family where girls and women are meant to stay within the parameters of the kitchen and get married performing the job of an ideal wife. Sanyukta Agarwal, born and brought up in Delhi, aspires to take her Dad's company to greater heights; something which is next to impossible in the world she lives in. But then they say where there's a will , there's a way.

With the help of her mother, she gets admission in FITE, a prestigious Engineering college and up Mechanical Engineering a branch dominated by men. She meets Randhir Singh Shekawat , the top Rank holder, arrogant boy. And he immediately becomes her biggest rival. She sees a lot of ups and downs on the freshers day. Randhir challeges her to make a circuit but tricks her by challenging her to drink wine as a result she gets drunk and unable to complete her task; but on seeing her drunk state he helps her reach the hostel safely, then again he helps fight against the goons also. Her Dad and her brother try to take her away but she delibrately blasts the circuit in the lab such that her lab partner Randhir and herself get into trouble and the police inspector doesn't let her father take her away, as a punishment Vardhaan asks Randhir to clean the lab and Sanyukta to repair the machine. She fails and Vardhaan mocks her and questions her passion for Engineering to be real. She tricks Randhir with the help of her friends to repair the machine, she also sucessfully wins the YSA scholarship though its unknown to her that the judge Renuka Sanyal was his Mother and Randhir had himself turned down the scholarship. Vidhushi being jealous of the fact that Sanyukta won the scholarship; tries framing her for exam paper leak but her plan fails. Sanyukta holds Randhir responsible for it and blasts him off. Unknown to Vidhushi is the fact that Sanyukta paid up her college fees. Jiggy confesses his love for Kaustuki which she accepts.

Just a day before leaving , Randhir's dad visits him, he's a total drunkard , Sanyukta complains against Randhir which infuriates him and the 2 have verbal spat Randhir doesn't tolerate Sanyukta's insult for his dad and ends up confronting her, the 2 are highly infuriated and out of rage end up kissing each other, their too striving for dominance , when they finally realize what they'd done they feel awkward and leave. At home, Sanyukta's father gets a marriage proposal for Sanyukta from a very rich , conservative family. Sanyukta's mother somehow convinces her to meet the family being the traditional conservative girl doing BA 1st year. Randhir on the other hand goes to his "Chacha's" garage for his holidays, a mechanic he'd met long time ago when he was a kid and their car broke down. We get to see the other side of Randhir as he becomes a helping hand to "Chacha" and his son and crediting him for making Randhir who he is today. There he meets Sanyukta's Fiance and acts like a mechanic to have some fun; on the other hand Sanyukta tries her level best to get rejected by Sameer but the plan backfires and she gets accepted, to her relief though her fiance has to go to Dubai and the marriage will take place only after 10 months.

When they are all back Prof. Vardhaan announcing the Dream Team competition and Randhir, Sanyukta, Jignesh, Kaustuki, Vidushi and Sahil volunteer, their 1st task is a village task wherein they compete with CITE college. Many buried pasts are opened as we get an insight into Prof. Vardhaan's love life after a lot of ups and downs FITE wins but CITE captain Parth gets impressed by Vardhaan and his methods and decides to join FITE. Kabir CITE Dream team's Mentor and an old rival of Vardhaan plots against Vardhaan making him believe that his love Nihaarika who died 12 yrs back never loved him. SanDhir and Parth together solve the mystery and succeed in stopping Vardhaan from leaving the college. Parth and Sanyukta become good friends while Vidushi has a crush on Parth. Randhir somehow doesn't like Sanyukta - Parth closeness and gets jealous. On the other hand the dream team is not too happy with Randhir as the captain as he's too bossy and Sanyukta plots to prove him incompatible as a captain in his frustration when Sanyukta tricks him to talk to Renuka for the sponsorship. He reveals that Renuka is his mom to Parth and Sanyukta and hence she feels bad for her act and Parth too makes her realize that Randhir isn't that bad but Randhir rudely asks him not to sympathize on her and they get back to being rivals.

Vardhaan too looks for a new captain as Randhir is a kind of guy who would do things on his own rather than distributing it equally to the team. He asks Parth to take up the captaincy and he refuses everytime, then one day when Randhir had been contradicted in front of the inspection team impulsively he challenges Parth for a competition and Parth accepts. Though Randhir wins; he hands over the captaincy to Parth when he realizes that Parth's had a disturbing childhood polishing people's shoes for a living. Vidushi proposes Parth and misunderstands Parth - Sanyukta relationship. Parth's laptop goes missing and next day he's accused of Transfering FITE Dream team's fund to CITE Dream team's. Its later revealed to the viewers that Vidhushi was behind it as she feels guilty after seeing Parth's condition when the team and Vardhaan prove him innocent. Though we do get to know that Parth had anger issues in the past and has criminal records because of the same.

Worst Scene of the Week

The over Possessive side of Jiggy specially the Holi scene, where he asked Kaustuki to sit in a corner; whereas everyone else enjoyed holi. Also the scene where, he forced Kaustuki stay up late to talk to him or change dresses simply cause Yoyo was eyeing her! Jiggy ... whats wrong with you ??? You're just going over board, will the real sweet Jiggy please stand up ???
